The Q should be well represented during next summers NHL entry draft........a lot of talent that could go in the first 2 rounds.
Chris Doyle. PEI, Patrice Cormier. Rimouski Yann Sauve. Saint John Kevin Poulin. Victoriaville Kelsey Tessier. Quebec Phillipe Cornet. Rimouski Alexandre Neron. Rimouski Marc Barbeiro. Moncton Jordan Southorn. PEI
Also noted: Robert Mayer. Saint John(Euro) Mikhail Stefanovich. Quebec(Euro) Jan Kana. PEI(Euro)

David Stich could get another look and I also wouldn't be suprised to see Pascal Amyot go in in the later rounds depending on how he does this year.

Tomas Knotek will probably go too, although at this stage maybe looking at a later round pick but to tell until seem him play.
Mike Cichy maybe a 3rd rounder but he's not really in the Q - just a pipe dream.

Peter Delmas and Antoine Tardif are both promising 17 year olds that had good years at 16.

If the rumors about Matt Stoddard's offseason weight and strength gains are true, it wouldn't surprise me to see him go. He could raise a few eyebrows this season.

If Gabe O'Connor gets good icetime this year, I can't see any reason why he shouldn't be drafted. He's naturally skilled, and eager to learn and improve. I'd be disappointed if he didn't dress for 55-60 games this year. Any less and scouts might take a pass on him.

Both Luke Adam and William Beaudoin are going to be drafted as well I would think. Adam in his rookie year was just as good as Allard, he is a different kind of player but look for him to come in to his own this year.

This is one of the strongest Q draft years in recent memory. I really like Doyle, he has no weaknesses to his game and has a similar game to that of Joe Sakic. I know the Sakic talk comes all the time with players like Weiss and Parise but this kid actually has a similar shot to that of Sakic.

I think Doyle's biggest hurdle will be to make sure he doesn't get too big of a head about himself. He's got a bit of a cocky attitude, but hopefully that can be used to his advantage and he won't get too full of himself. Confidence is never a bad thing, but overconfidence is.

Adam should be drafted, but not in the top 4 rounds as of now IMO. His footwork is lagging as of now, and he needs to have a big year to get noticed.

I agree, but I hear he's been working on his skating a lot over the summer. He is the son of a professional coach, so he has the smarts that is for sure. Paiement doesnt like to play rookies much, Adam showed some signs last year of really being a gem when he got more ice time due to injuries. He should put up 50pts this year, and be a 4th or 5th round pick. Same thing with Allard he got little ice time or little playing time with skilled players in his rookie year. At the AAA level a couple of years ago he showed he was arguably the best player in Atlantic Canada, getting the MVP in the Atlantic Tournament Finals. He also went on to show the country what he can do on a Naitonal level at the Telus Cup. I think Doyle is going to be the first guy picked then Sauve followed by Baberio.

yea Taylor will look good out there this year, and i expect him to shine next year when Welcher is gone. If Luke can work real hard out there he will get a good shot and being drafted, and if his skating improves watch out!
