Where did he play last year? What kind of stats did he have? I'm too lazy to look up his stats but it's on a previous thread. I suspect the best stat for him could be his plus/minus if available. Stats don't always tell you much about a two way player. Hopefully he'll play wednsday exhibition game. After reading Carey's response, I guess his stats do say something...but what may seperate him is his ability to play two ways.

I stand corrected. It was Sicilia that played for the Red Wings.

Oops, being lazying isn't very accurate...after seeing the post from Carey, his stats do tell something, almost a ppg...if they did have his plus minus, I suspect this number would be pretty good.

Crap Carey, I retract my statement...being lazy is ok compared to being inaccurate ;D. Any way, think Murdoch or Salvis and you'll be close.

I thought he showed some promise in the first game he played. Scored a goal and also had one in the shootout. In the night game he fell awkwardly and Gormley fell on him and he got up favoring his knee. But he should be in the lineup tomorrow from what I have heard so far. Be good to see him against some good competion. See how he stacks up against some vets.

I'm surprised(ok not really) that there has been no news on cuts. Quite a few teams are down to 23-27 players, the Cats are still at 44, you'd think they would cut that by 10-15 today...or maybe they did but the poor PR is not getting the info out.

The website should include that information but, unfortunately, it does not.

I always felt in recent years that they were among the better teams at getting news out to their fans ... but perhaps this is a sign of the times as the team is currently lacking a GM, not sure how big a role that person would have played in the logistics of media releases and so on - it may be a detail that is being overlooked with no one in charge ... speaking of which weren't they supposed to have a new GM by the end of August?

Maybe they are looking to see what will come along on the waiver wire ... we would get 2nd crack behind Drum. Once that is all known they will probably release a bunch of guys.

That would be counter productive...if anything they should try and move 19 year olds out like Boyle and Brenton not bring more fringe ones in.

Huh? Probably means Mon(treal) Ahhhh, that could work. Isn't Montreal's short like perpetually used to be mtl? It's as short, and wont get confused with Moncton (hint hint to overtime). If this is true, I wonder what the Wildcats got out of it. Usually, I wouldn't expect too much, but Flynn seems to have a certain talent for getting more back in trades then what seemed possible at first (IE Lavigne in Quebec).
