I see sunday's game is available to watch on telus. The switching to close shots happens all the time again this year and makes you dizzy. If they would not show any closeups the coverage would be much better. It seems like they want to give camera selection practice to someone new or someone is running the camera selection that doesn't undertand hockey. It will be the worst coverage in the Q again this year IMO. Am I the only one that finds this annoying?

No everyone thinks the same way as you do, in every city. There MUST be something that we can do for that. For example, on a 5 on 3, they will close in on the player controlling the puck and we dont see the play developing at all.

Personally I think it's the worst feed but it's been like that for awhile and I doubt it's gonna change better then nothing though.

Since Telus has been covering games I have yet to watch a home game. I'll have to check it out sometime this season just to see what people are complaining about. I recall that it was a big deal last year. I'm assuming their intentions are good but it's just not turning out how they are hoping.

You know how Irving can be, make everything big and professional. However, with the equipment they have and the amateur staff (I understand it's used as college project of something like that?), it simply doesn't work. I have nothing against amateur or volunteers taking control of the thing and if it is used in coordination with a college to give the kids hands-on experience, even better. However, sticking with one camera (and maybe 2 for the random IE NOT OFTEN close up shot) would make the webcast a lot more enjoyable then it is.

Just to give you an example, check out how many times they change camera angle in this clip. Now imagine watching an entire game like that. I had the flu last year and watched one game from home and it made me sicker.

I had the flu last year and watched one game from home and it made me sicker. I lasted until the 52 second mark before needing to shut it off with the fear of vomiting. That's horrible. If I didn't know it I would have thought they gave footage to a 3 year old and told him to edit the video. I wouldn't have been able to do worse if I had tried. The thing is, say for example they have three feeds, A-B-C. They seem like the need to go on B to get from A to C. So you have A which is great then they go to B for like .3 of a second then to C which is pretty bad to they they want to go back to A but then you get B for .3 of a second again, etc. You would only get half of cuts if they could fix/avoid that.

Ow...
That's painful to watch. I think I made it :48 in (right after that shaky bit that looks like it was taken on a cell phone). Surely the entire games can't be that dizzying.

That makes our volunteer-run team from Rogers look like experts in the field. I might just have to watch some of a game and experience it for myself. ... Then turn it off. Hah.

You're a brave brave man. They should make having to watch a game a competition on one of those reality shows like Survivor.

"For this challenge, you can either watch an entire Moncton game... or down an entire bottle of ipecac."
[pause for thought]
"Ipecac" "Ipecac" "Ipecac" "Ipecac" "I'll watch the game"
[collective gasp]
