The paper said they hoped to the visa issues all sorted out in the next few weeks. I agree that the government seems to make things like this seem unnecesarily complex ...

Not only that, if they cannot fix this by Christmas, he may be spending Christmas with his billets, or risk not being allowed back in Canada (at least until he gets another visa. The problem isn't leaving Canada, it's getting back in as he only has a single entry visa. You would think the givenerment could make it a bit more simple. I don't think too many Q hockey players are terrorists. They cannot be considered different from any other person who applies to work in Canda just because they are hockey players. I doubt they would have priority over doctors, etc.

What happened between Savard & Paquette? Open ice hit by Paquette and Savard dropped the gloves. Paquette ended up falling on top of Savard, but it wasn't much more than a wrestling match, and very short lived. edit: I didn't hear what the penalty was called for, but I believe aside from the 5 each for fighting, Paquette got the extra 5 for kneeing on the open ice hit, and Savard got the two for instigating.

watching that game live, then watching the Telus rebroadcast, this league is rapidly going to be the laughing stock of Canada.
The knee on Paquette, your player was trying to avoid a good solid hit, the knees hit, bad call, as for Savard, he was NOT the instigator and never should of been tossed, it just happened and they BOTH wanted it, so instigator? both or none.
Riopel was absolutely fantastic in net, and the team looks very good. You should be fighting for the top spot this year. Good luck.

So the hit by Hudon-Paquette was on Eagles...I thought Savard got hit and just went after H-P...good move by Savard though.
