Cats travel to Halifax on Sunday for a 2pm matchup with the Moose. The Wildcats are coming off a 3-0 win in Lewiston on Friday night, while the Moose lost 5-2 in Charlottetown.
The Cats will be looking to keep their perfect record intact.
Riopel in nets. Cats win 4-2.

You really have to like the Cat's schedule to start the year, great way to ease in the rookies before things tighten up. Rio was awesome last night ( webcast). Anyone who doubts the idea of building from the net out just needs to watch games like last night...Rio stole the first period for sure. Go Cats

Although I agree with sticking with the hot hand (i.e. Riopel), I'm thinking this would be a good game to start Domingue....it's an away game and it's against one of the weaker teams in the league this year.

Unless the understood agreement with the goaltenders is you start until you lose (or injury obviously), then yes, I agree, it is time to see Domingue in a regular season game. I however love the "play till you lose" philosophy when the schedule is as reasonable as it is now in terms of number of games per week.

After this game their is still 5 more days off so I say play Riopel. IMO unless fatigue kicks in Riopel, Moncton should play Riopel for all the games up to Montreal on the 12th and then play Domingue against Bathurst on the 15th and Baie Comeau on the 17th. And go back with Rio after that for a bit.
On the other hand, Moncton Could want to play Riopel vs Baie Comeau since they hold their first round pick.

Halifax is probably the best team to start Domingue against, but the Metro Centre is probably not the best rink to have a rookie goalie make his first start.

That being said, the games have been spaced apart quite a bit so far this year (although he did take part in an NHL rookie camp between games 2 and 3 this year), so fatigue shouldn't be a factor yet. Also, as optimistic as I want to be about this year, I'm sure that we will lose a game before fatigue becomes a factor in the 'play until he loses' philosophy.

good defensive game by Cats today.
Matt Brown had an excellent game, could have easily got the Hat Trick on 2 occasions. Had a breakaway and Yetman stopped it and also gave Eagles the goal, showed a unselfish play instead of trying for Hat Trick.
Matt Bissonnette still continues to impress me for a 16 yr old. Gormley will be amazing in years to come.
Give Halifax credit, they don't have a lot of talent but they play 100% every shift..
