What I don't understand is why did Flynn put out 5 players? In that instance, it seems he was as guilty as the referee really. Exactly what I said at the time. He should really quit his whining. It's his fault just as much as anyone.

Not to mention he'll probably get a nice fine for those comments in the newspaper.

Lady Luck giveth, and Lady Luck taketh away.
We have absolutely nothing to complain about. 1. We were lucky to only be down by 1 goal going into the third, given Victoriaville's dominance. 2. Five minute major, we tie the game with 1 sec left on the penalty. 3. Fate grants us a reprieve when we take a late penalty. 4. Five on three, in overtime, with the always fortunate gift of a delay of game penalty.
Then the hockey gods said enough is enough when we produced little if any scoring opportunities on that 5 on 3, and created that last opportunity for Victoriaville.
We did nothing with that golden opportunity in OT, and got what we deserved.
I don't agree with the fact we didn't deserve a point, but we definately didn't deserve two.

Could it be that he realized his mistake and tried to bring it to the ref's attention? I thought that I seen him yelling right after the faceoff. The ref looked over to the bench and the linesman skated right by the bench, both completely ignored him. I think that Flynn knows the rules better than most and has been known to bring rules to the ref's attention a time or two. I was there and didn't hear any whistle before the goal, just the kids screaming in the nose bleed sections. They were having loads of fun. Too bad that excitement didn't make to the ice.
