ROSKI should definately be in the lineup after the game he had against le titan, LANE should be put on waivers, and BISSONNETTE should be playing with guys that can finish! the first pp stays on way too long, 0-5 vs titan i believe! LAHEY is a 4th line guy at best, FAMIN needs to learn to pass the puck!! but its hard to say all of this with the cats tremendous record so far!! Yes, you seem to be saying Flynn doesn't know what he's doing yet he has the best record in the Q. When Lane is in there, Thomas is a non factor.

I went to the game last night....here are a few of my thoughts:
1. As usual, ended up sitting beside a friendly Sea Dogs fan, and also had a great view of the game from the upper bowl. Harbour Station is a great place to see a game.
2. We don't seem to play well protecting a lead...too many guys just standing around. We didn't deserve to win with that kind of 3rd period effort.
3. I'd like to see Cameron and Lessard bumped to the 2nd PP unit. Lessard has been snakebitten around the net, but overall, scoring chances just aren't being created. I don't know who you replace them with (a healthy Brannon for his big shot, Bissonnette, maybe Brown), but it might be time to change what isn't working.
4. The faceoff totals were fairly close, but on the whole, if you subtract Cameron from the stats this year, we've been brutal on faceoffs. Every aspect of the team's game improves when you win faceoffs and gain control of the puck (especially on special teams), but we've been very poor in this area thus far this season. EDIT: Some quick math results in the Cats' faceoff percentage equating to 43.42% on faceoffs not take by Cameron.
5. I'm not sure I like that quick flood of the middle of the ice before a shootout. The pucks sticks too much....Mayer was beaten twice, but we couldn't elevate the puck over his pads.

Well, the Cats let that win slip away from them. We got a point, but the way things were going, two points were definitely expected. They'll get a learning lesson out of this one.. it's not over until the final whistle blows. How did they call that SO goal a goal? On the webcast, it was obvious the ouck was stopped. You may be right......from where I was, it looked like it failed to cross the line, but others seemed to think it was clearly in.......oh well, we'll take the extra point.

Both teams play on the same ice.......but it would be terrible if there was a bit more water dropped in the Sea Dogs end....muwahahahaha . Conspiracy, I think not. Mayer wasn't beaten, he makes those saves all the time, just part of his routine. The Kid has the flexibility of a gymnast

You can all have another look at the shootout goal at the end of this video...
After looking at that a couple times and seeing where Riopel's pad is and where he stopped the puck I don't see how it could have possibly crossed the goal line. What happened is the ref called it a goal and then the replay showed no conclusive evidence that the puck did not go in and so the call on the ice stood. Real amazing for Brad Mills to be calling that a goal from where he was standing. Quite frankly I don't really think we deserved the 2 points anyways after that 3rd period but at least make Saint John actually score in the shootout to get their 2 points.

The Kid has the flexibility of a gymnast They don't floo0d or drop water, they just scrape and gather the extra snow that's accumulated. It's exactly the same thing they did in Moncton last year when Scott Howes scored a shootout winner right in front of me. That was nice.

It's also possible that the ref could see something that you can't see on a grainy ass webcast he was right beside the net we don't know what he saw. The camera was on shot side. In order to see the puk go in the ref would have to look through the net and through Riopels back and pad. The angle from the refs eyes in order to see the puck cross the line just wasnt there. Rio also had his trapper almost like a sheild from the view of the ref. I can't see how he saw that puck enter the net. And watching the replay a few times it looks like it braught up on Rios knee and the back part of the scoop. In order for it to go in the net he'd have to kick it bak out with his leg. When he moves his scoop before he kicks you can see its still in the blue paint. What a horrible and quick call by the ref.

A team that lost to Halifax today...again The Cats will be fine though. Prior to today Quebec had lost 3 of 4 including a shootout loss to the Cats and losses in Drummondville and Montreal (sound familiar?) and no one's talking about them suddenly being a mid-pack team. Then again only Fred is saying we're suddenly a mid-pack team so take it for what's worth

allrightee, a few things about the game in saint john: firstly, Jordan Lane makes Tim Spencer and Brett Gallant look like Wayne Gretzky and Mario Lemieux. i really don't see why we need a guy like lane out there. if he had SOME skill, fine, but he seems to have none. as far as thomas goes, pretty sure Sill or Boyle would do fine in a fight with him. next, i would like to point out that referee brad mills and linesmen derek doucette and corey logan all have one thing in common: born and raised in..... wait for it..... (drumroll please)..... SAINT JOHN, NB! hmmmm..... do you think 3 saint john referees could change the outcome of a game? i'm just sayin'..... and another thing, how in the blue hell could that saint john born and raised referee possibly have seen that shot in the shootout possibly cross the line from his angle? i was to Riopel's left and there was no way you could see that puck go in, and to be on Riopel's right side, having to see through a hockey net, a human body and a goalie pad and be able to say it was conclusively in!? seems like a homer call to me. further more, when a player starts skating in before the referee blows his whistle in a shootout, is that player not usually disqualified? that's what charland did. mills' performance in that game made me wanna puke. however, at the end of the day, we didn't come away empty handed, the sea dogs have yet to beat us in regulation this season, we still lead the division, and that was just ONE game out of 68. we'll get them (and probably the referees too) next time.

Well the Cats are coming back to earth and playing like the team we all knew they are Middle of Pack Team... Using the same logic since the Moose beat the Sea Dogs that makes Halifax a "Mid Pack team" ?/ Go figure!
