Say what you want, but if Roy new he would have to answer for his actions, he would have never put his stick in someone face, Roy wants to play with fire as he knows now he will not get burn.t Hockey has always had idiots like Roy, just think back to when we had the old rules and players did have to answer for their actions....it didn''t stop Bertuzzi did it? I don't agree with the new fighting rules...that's a different issue. Roy deserves a suspension, if someone simply fought him after the incident, that's not much of a deterent.

If you think that the only reason Roy cross checked the guy in the face is because he knew he wouldn't get his ass kicked, you're giving the kid too much credit. The boy lost his mind. Glad you don't decide the rules for my kids. You must have dropped out of the same tree as Roy. Bananas are on sale at Sobey's check it out. UFC is the place for you, at least guys are there by choice. Pussified...what your suggesting is goonafied, toughness is not to be confused with disprespecting over the top brutality. Roy is not tough...that's why the real p***y used his stick to cross check. Send the Roy family a message....15 games and there's more to come. Come out of the dark ages. Maybe the victim in this should not have been yapping on the ice. maybe th evictim should learn that sometimes when you yap you better be ready to defend yourself. Maybe if someone didn't have to worry about missing a big chunk of his season Roy would have been dealt with on the ice. Whether you like it or not intimidation and having to face the other teams tough guy keeps players in line. I have to assume at this point you are a big figure skating fan. Since the rules have been changed to penalize the truly tough players inthe game the rats, stick artists, and floppers flourish. I cringe evrytime a Barnaby, Avery, Ruutu etc are called power forwards. You're missing my point Duffer....I never said anything about the new rules....I agree that the new rules have let some idiots get away with too much. What I said was that he's luck he only received 15 games....If you think he would have stopped in his tracks and not cross checked if he knew he would get his ass kicked you are ignoring history....even with the old fighting rules we have always had idiots who cross the line with brutal stick work etc. All I'm saying is that stiff suspensions are needed, the threat of retaliation won't stop some guys...Most people agree that he crossed the line. You can have toughness without sticks to the face. As for figure skating....so it's either full face contact with sticks or I like figure skating. There's no middle ground with you is there Mr. Johhny Cochrane. I don't like figure skating but did date a girl once who figure skated....does that count?

Bertuzzi would have fought anyone...the guy who he hurt wouldn't turn and face Bertuzzi. Even Claude Lemieux knew when he was going to have to fight.

Yes dating a figure skater does count but photographic evidence is required.
