I hate that little twerp! He's scum as far as I'm concerned. It's great having a player like that on your team but the diving he does is horrible and i hate to see that from any player... might as well be playing soccer. I don't mind Morehouse all that much. I mean with all the stupid penalties he takes to help my guys out, how could I? I just couldn't stand that he jumped one of our Euros and never let up even though he clearly had no desire to fight. Then he would never step up with anyone on the team in any game after that. Not even Paynter, who is a similar size (although maybe he was one of the smart ones who knew what that kid could do). It was really yellowbellied.

Back to rivals, here's some that stand out in my mind:
St. John's vs Cape Breton - because of playoffs 2 years in a row, the games are always a step up St. John's vs Saint John - expansion rivalry, and the whole 'name' thing Bathurst vs Moncton - before Saint John showed up it was the "Battle of NB" Moncton vs. PEI - "Battle of the Bridge" Moncton vs. Saint John - will be big soon because of how close they are Halifax vs Cape Breton - "Battle of NS"

THe past couple of years, the ultimate Q rivalry has been Chicoutimi-Quebec. They had a classic second round playoff series in 2005 (rumours of as many as 2,000 Sagueneen fans making the trip to all the games at the Colisee Pepsi in Quebec City), and then the following year Patrick Roy took over behind the Remps' bench and that really helped ignite things. With total characters like Roy and Richard Martel behind the two benches, it's no surprising that games between these two always feature fireworks lately.
Last year I seriously couldn't even keep track of how many "incidents" there were between the two teams.......... I don't know how many times there were 20-page long threads on Radoter about something that happened between them. Whether it was the Chi fans harassing the Quebec bus............. or Brent Aubin giving the CGV crowd the prolonged middle finger........ or the very famous and overblown incident of Roy shoving a Chicoutimi team official.............. it's been crazy between these two teams.
I also would like to make a case for Victo and Drummondville, I guess that if you're a fan of one of those teams it's barely even safe to venture into the other team's rink!!

Great Post Wince Cool cause it expresses the passion I think the East Coast has with the Q. And when you present it like that CB could help the league.

Last year the rivalry with the Maineiacs and the Sea Dogs started to heat up i expect to see that one grow(lets not say ugly..but)heated at least ,with the proximity to one another and the behind the scenes stuff(newspaper ads..ect) it should only get better as time goes on.Besides them i enjoy the Halifax games and also Moncton as their fans seem to find our barn in droves

Bathurst/Halifax is probably our best regular season rival......although Moncton/Bathurst games are always good to watch, they never really had the torque to them that they did with Halifax. Bathurst/CB.....is probably 2nd for me....always a huge playoff series against them every time we meet.......the shit show when we had Bissonnette in CB that night was fun to watch...... ;D,.....not the game, but the brawls.. it would be a close 3rd between Bathurst/Moncton, and Bathurst/PEI.....Moncton probably takes it since it's been longer, but the PEI games have become pretty intense over the last 2 years, especially the playoffs.....the line brawl at the opening faceoff kicked this rivalry off......

I don't mind Morehouse all that much. I recall one game last season where the Fog Devils Nick Layton was flying up the left wing and Mr. Morehouse was waiting for him around the center ice line. Morehouse went after Nick with an elbow to the head. Nick managed to see it and avoid being hit, but if Morehouse had connected I have no doubt Nick's jaw would have been broken or worse. I had seats up against the glass this particular night and the play, although only it happened in an instant, happened right in front of me. I love the rough stuff in hockey, but I can't stand these dirty cheap shots at a persons head! It's the ultimate cowardly play. It's why I can't stand Chris Pronger.
