Both teams playing their 3rd game in 3 nights. Cape Breton coming off two victories at Harbour Station against the Sea Dogs. Moncton with victories in Charlottetown Friday night and Halifax last night. Rio will be back between the pipes for the Cats. I wonder if Olivier Roy will be in for Eagles after playing the past 2 nights in SJ? Might see Chris Holden today.
4-1 Cats

Cape Breton is actually playing their 4th game in 5 days. Roy has played all 3 games on this roadtrip so far, so it's possible we'll see Holden.
5-2 Cats.

I heard from a friend that a CB player got a skate to the neck. What happened? Is the CB player ok?

The Cats just didn't get the bounces and looked disorganized at times throughout the game. C-B played a solid road game in my opinion. The referreeing was pretty suspect also. One player that didn't impress me was Lahey, i was disappointed with his overall effort.

The Cats couldn't play their hard forecheck to the effectiveness they normally do ... and that wouldn't allow them to create offense in the same way. The legs weren't really there and that inhibited the forecheck. I know CB was just as tired or perhaps even more tired ... but that doesn't take away from the fact that we couldn't play our style because the legs weren't quite there. We don't have the pure snipers ... and have to grind out the goals from the forecheck.

That was a tight game that could go either way, whoever scored the 1st goal had a definite edge. I found the Cats had a lot of chaces that were just missing, they looked tired.

C-B played well defenisvely took away our space - they deserved the win. I thought we were fighting the puck all night, lots of passes in the skates which slowed puck movement considerably and helped C-B smother us in their end ...

Had to be the worst effort of the year by the Cats. I also agree about the officating and Lahey was horrible, looked really lazy out there. I hope they trade him and Biduke's rights as well and bring in another 20.

CB did not out work Moncton ... fairly evenly played game ... they just cashed in on their chances better than we did. Who would they trade Lahey and Biduke to ? Who do you think would need either of these two players ?

They lacked finish on their plays, but you can't say they didn't work hard, I thought the effort was outstanding by both teams but they were tired so it hurt the entertainment value. I hate 3 in 3s.

It's funny nobody was complaining about the entertainement value in 3 in 3's when Rimouski came here on their 3rd game while the Cats were resting for 4 days ....and that was easily one of the worst hockey games I'd been to in a long time. For the record I agree that 3 in 3's suck......but they suck even worst when one of the 2 teams has been resting.

I'm sure teams are fighting over who's gonna pay the most for Lahey.......20YO 4th liners aren't exactly a dime a dozen or anything.

He's a 45-50 point guy that can bring some size. I think he could bring a 4th to 6th back depending on market. SJ got an 8th for Page and Leahy is twice the player he is.
