Abid's performance in the first two games of the 2000 Cup. Just to see the emotions of the Hfx. fans was enough to witness! Jamie Brown's game in the 97 play-offs I would say was overall best!

I loved watching the 2000 Mem. Cup. Being an Island boy I was of course pulling for Brad, Thatcher, et al. but it was also really fun watching the Halifax guys (Abid and Reid in particular) having so much fun out there, pumping the logos on their jerseys, etc.

Hmm. Sea Dogs haven't had any real remarkable performances as of yet so I'll go with...just about any Thomas Beauregard performance versus us in the 2006-2007 season. I still have nightmares and can hear that announcer of theirs going "Le but de Titan, compte par le #28, Thomas Beauregard!" *horn blasting*
I think he put up 4 hat tricks against us last year. No matter how bad we were, that's impressive.

Dido's 4 point game was impressive.
In our first season, Seadogs home game vs Remparts, I can still remember the show that Radulov and Esposito put on in the 3rd period.

Another I thought was pretty good was Jason King vs. the Moncton Wildcats in 01-02. As the kids would say, King pwned the Cats that year.
8gp 13g 5a 18pts 3 hat tricks 2 OT winners (I think it was 2)

I just wanted to add a biased performance, that of Brett Morrison in the first round of the playoffs last season. I know we lost the series but Brett was incredible throughout, with 16 points in the 7 games. He easily outshone the two Bathurst big guns, which was no easy feat.
Please come back Brett....

Ramzi Abid's performance in the first two games of the 2000 Memorial Cup was insane (in fact, his play that entire season was pretty darn good). Back-to-back hat-tricks in wins against the WHL and OHL champs, Barrie and Kooteney, was incredible to witness. Oh man, I'll never forget those. Have them on DVD at home actually, thanks to a kind Moosetalk poster who mailed copies around for free. The game against Barrie was my first game at the Metro Centre, and I'll never forget Abid's three incredible goals. I think five of his six goals in those two games were rockets to the top shelf - it was a great example of a guy who was in a zone. Maybe it was the comment from "The Artist Formerly Known as Mike Jefferson", where he said in the papers that he'd like to spear Abid right in the face, that got his motor running.

A big fat zero against the Cape Breton Screaming Eagles. ;D And zero in the first four games of that year's playoff series too.

September 27th 2002, Jonathan Ferland scored 6 goals and 2 assists in a Titan win 9-0 against Rimouski. Mathieu Benoit's performance of 8 goals in 98-99...... I had the treat of witnessing a five goal performance from Ferland in that same 02-03 season. Went to Bathurst to see the Eagles play the Titan. Titan won 8-2, and outshot CB 60-28. Ferland with five goals. Since we were getting killed anyway, we decided to try cheering him on to a sixth. ;D

I know it wasn't as bad as it was a week or so before the series, but it was still taped up and he was favoring it at times. I forgot about that.

Now for a few of my own:
- Rimouski going undefeated the entire second half of the 04-05 season after a barely-.500 first half. One game against Baie-Comeau, they were trailing 5-1 in the third period but came back to salvage a 5-5 tie. Some posters around here, at the end of that season, pointed to that game as when they knew those 05 Nics were on a mission (an idea that was very much questioned in the first half of that season).
They then carried the undefeated streak all the way through to Game 4 of the third round against Chicoutimi.
And their only losses from then on in were against the best junior hockey team ever, the 05 London Knights.
- Speaking of comebacks, in the 2000-2001 season a game between storied rivals Rouyn and Val d'or produced the craziest comeback I've ever heard tell of in hockey.
6-2 Rouyn with I believe less than 2:30 to go in the third, and Val d'or storms back to win 7-6 in OT.
- As well, in the 98-99 season a very weak Eagles team fell behind 6-0 to the Sherbrooke Castors after one period. They incredibly rallied to win the game 9-7 (with an empty netter)....... Ryan Walsh scoring the hat trick to lead the way.
- Individual performances? How about Simon Gamache's playoff performance for Val d'or in 00-01? 57 points in 21 playoff games to break Mario Lemieux's record for points in a Q playoff year. And then in the Memorial Cup, watching him singlehandedly save the Foreurs' season by scoring the tying goal in the final minute of the semi against Regina and then doing all the work on Chris Lyness's OT winner........ that guy just put his team on his back.
- Brad Richards 100% owning the 2000 Memorial Cup, looking capable of winning the tournament almost on his very own.
- Jeremy Duchesne battling both the tragic death of his father and a 3-1 series deficit to put together three consecutive 40+ save performances and win three straight one goal games to take the 07 semifinal against Cape Breton. Think about how many minutes of play that is where you know that if you allow the next goal, it may well be the end of your team's season and your junior career. And as said, to do that just a week and a half after losing your father........ shows what kind of character this guy is made of.
- Martins Karsums in the 06 playoffs for Moncton......... how many game winners/OT winners did he have? May have set a Q record, not sure.
- Hull's Cinderella run in the 1999 playoffs. They finished 15 games below .500 in the regular season but went on to upset the top three seeds in the Dilio and then pushed a super stacked Bathurst team to a 7th game in the final.
The rebuilding 'Piques, just two years removed from winning the 1997 Memorial Cup on home ice, went an incredible 11-0 at the Robert Guertin Arena during those playoffs.
Just a few off the top of my noggin!

Benoit's record dates to November of the 1999-2000 season in a game against Chicoutimi (12-3 score). He was traded to Moncton just over a month later.

A memorable moment last season...
Jerome Samson's four goals as he knew he was playing his last game as a Wildcat (I believe he also had an assist that game). He got a well deserved standing ovation.

Think it was 1997 Play-offs Chicoutimi Vs Halifax game 5. Series tied 2-2. Shelly suspended for 1 game on questionable hit considering the Sagueens spent the entire series running Giguere. Metro Centre packed, Shelly's Jersey hanging from the clock when it was raised to the roof during the pre game warm up. After Chicoutimi goes up 2-0, the crowd rises to give the Moose a standing ovation. Moose rally to win game and are with in 1 game of going to the memorial cup. We all know how the rest turned out, but that game made me a QMJHL FAN. Never missed a game after that
