Back to the Shepard goal. I think it CB were short handed and their were 2 Dogs d-men in their own zone. Shepard stripped the d-man of the puck and it went to the other d-man. Shepard raced to him and stripped him of the puck, came in on Fullerton all alone and scored a Forsberg one hander

My most impressive performance was Moncton's absolute shit kicking of the PEI Rockets in the Memorial Cup year (there were a few woopings of PEI that year, but this was the big one). Moncton not only destroyed them from a hockey point of you, but the game features non-stop fights due to PEI cheap antics, and Moncton beat the piss out of them in the fisticuffs as well and continued to send a message by scoring on every PP they were given due to that moron Jean behind PEI's bench.
Another impressive performance was in the same year aginst the Fog Devils. Noone was having much success beating the Foggies at home. Moncton had previously laid a wooping on them in Moncton where Paiment said aferwards that they wouldn't be doing the same thing in St. John's, and a bunch of their fans echoed the sentiment. Moncton went over to the rock and destroyed them both games.

For me, it was this past winter when the Remps came to town, and 5 consecutive fights broke out in the third period. It brought me back to the old Memorial Stadium days when the fans were on top of the players. I thought Joey Ryan was going to need an escort out of the place.

A Mem cup host beating a weaker/expansion team? Multiple fights in a game? I think my idea of "Most impressive performances" has officially been misunderstood Its turned into a "favorite moments" thread

1.....Mathieu Beniot 8 goals against Chicoutimi 2......Jonathan Ferland with 6 goals against Rimouski, I believe 3. J. Ferland with 5 against CB.....
My top game was a few years back when Bathurst beat Moncton with 2 seconds left on the clock....Moncton was 1 point from the playoffs that year and 2 seconds from getting a point that night..... ;D

The 02-03 Oceanic finished 11-58-3, the 02-03 Eagles finished 21-37-9-5, and the 99-00 Sags missed the playoffs.

Worry not sir, you need only to refer to the "10-6 game" from winter 2006........... no further explanation required.

Oh, I understand that.......but anytime you get to see 2 hattricks in the same game, by the same player, against 2 different goalies, it will always be something that you remember.

I'm surprised he didn't mention this game either.... I mean, two hat tricks were scored on two different (Titan) goalies in this game as well.

Mooseheads dominating Bathurst in game 7 4-0 at the forum in the second round.
Then defeating Baie Comeau 7-1 on their own ice in game 7 of the league semi-finals.........
.....but we won't talk about the championship series.

YOu guys weren't really bad that year until you traded away Benoit, Abid, etc at the deadline. Abid was traded in October. The problem was Bathurst's best players weren't all in uniform to begin the season. Of Abid, Benoit, and Girard, I think only Abid started the year in Bathurst. Benoit had a cup of coffee in the pros, and Girard played the first half in the NHL. There may have been others. I've always wondered if they would have traded away everybody if they they would have started the year with their best possible lineup.

most impressive performance would have to be two years ago in Bathurst when our team was playing against them and the score was 6 to 1 at the end of the second period for bathurst and the bathurst fans were cheering insults at us and when our team came out in the third period they scored seven unanswered goals in a four minute span and then the k.c. irving arena came deadly silent and our team kept putting on the goals and the game finished 12 to six . wow what a game! ;D
