Suprised Jodoin was cut so early . I know that when Mario drafted him he expected him to return to AAA , but i thought he played pretty well . Not really surprised at McCarron , we all pretty much saw that coming.

I wonder if McCarron will stay at CBU and play JR B for Molson Canadiens or will he go to X ? Who holds his JR A Rights ? Maybe Pictou might be interested or he could play for The Strait Pirates . Well in one year you go from being a Project to a Cut ! Maybe Mario has changed ! Maybe he will Trade Stinziani and keep Gauthier ? Ahh Loyalty !

There was absolutely zero point to having a 19yr old Brett Maccarron on this team. As far as loyalty goes every Q team will have a chance to claim him, so it's not like the Eagles are holding him back from anything. Mario hasn't changed. Maccarron just didn't develop into anything worth keeping. He had to be a top 9 forward to stick and he wasn't even in the top 15.

I agree , since I didn't even notice him out there than he obviously was not a Top 9 Forward . Does anybody else think Gauthier's speed is showing up more so far than Stinziani's although he did score a nice goal .

It is but he's fighting for a place in the league and I think he's looked better then just about all the returning vets up front. But we know what he's going to bring at this point. Good speed and faceoff ability. But it never translates into consistant production.

WOw.. i am suprised that they cut Jodoin this early.. but i am guessing that they might do the same as they did with Lesieur last year.. bring him back at Christmas time.. which i could see that happening for sure.. only time will tell.. Not suprised that they cut Mccarron cuz he is not a top 9 forward..

So unless Mario decides to keep Tesink as a 20 year old d (which I think would be a terrible move, as he's obviously not a quality 20 year old and if we were to keep him I think he's MUCH more effective as a forward), the D is already set.
You'd have to assume that MacNeil/Adam/Horyl/MacDougall/Bourgeois/LeSieur/Shaw/Hertzberg/Bernard are guarenteed the first 9 forward spots. Stinziani will likely have one as well, with Gauthier having an outside shot and there being a possiblity of a trade.
The real battle in camp now seems to come up front, as Desveaux/MacIntosh/Lapostelle/Cuzner/Chaisson/Bergeron battle for 4 spots.

McCarron is property of Bridgewater in the MJAHL. Doubtful he reports there.
