Is anyone else really disappointed in Jodoin being cut? I thought he had an exceptional camp.
As senatorz2 mentioned, they could bring him back up at Christmas, but, I would have prefered to see him play a full year.

Jodoin , Piche & Boudreau Plouffe played really well and he was really impressed with them. They have bright futures in this league . If you can remember back to the draft he said that he drafted alot of guys from Espoirs with the idea they were going to go back and play AAA this year. I can Jodoin maybe coming back at Christmas if a roster spot opens up . After the cuts made yesterday it looks like we need to make 5 more to come down to the 23 players Mario wants to carry. Gauthier & Tesink are pretty much locks to be cut after Ward and MacNeil return . Veronneau is gone back to midget once Roy comes back from Edmonton . So that leaves Cuzner , Lapostelle , MacIntosh , Bergeron battling for the last 2 spots. As of right now I see Cuzner & Lapostelle getting those spots but MacIntosh is really close as well.

Where does that leave Desveaux and Chiasson? Desveaux will be on the team IMO . And i forgot to mention Chaisson with the other four . I still see him having a outside shot . But right now i see Cuzner and Lapostelle a head of him.

I know he's a Year Older but he is quite a bit better also !

This is what i heard from a VALUABLE source.. Mario Durocher approached Chiasson and if he would listen to the scouts and evalutating staff.. he would of got cut.. but then Durocher said that Chiasson was probly nervous and had spaghetti legs under him and needs another chance so that is why he did not get cut.. he said that he was going to give him another chance to battle it out.. Wish him all the best to make a better impression next time

Cuzner's game is that of a bottom 6 forward. Of course Chaisson is better offensively, but that's no good if he's a 4th liner who can't play 2 way hockey. LaLa told us Chaisson doesn't like contact and from what i've seen that comment is accurate. And from history, those types of players rarely excel at this level. Give both players a year of Q hockey and I think next year Cuzner's thriving as a bottom 6 forward while Chaisson's a 19yr old headed to Jr A like Maccarron.

They are different players. If either of those 2 makes the team where will they be playing? Likeing 4th line...who is better suited to that role?

Give me the 17yr old 2 way rookie over the 18yr old 1 way rookie any day. How much more advanced might a LeSieur or Lapostelle be if they weren't stuck behind/fighting with Brett Maccarron for ice time over the last 12 months?

Brett MacCarron would like to thank the posters of Nestcape for all their tremendous support hahahaha! nice I actually like McCarron alot. I just don't think he's able to play this level of hockey. I found, in watching him last year, he looked awkward and nervous in EVERY game he played.

Its not his fault that he played so poorly in the games he did play . He just simply wasnt good enough to play at this level. Thats nothing against him as a person because he's a great guy with the fans . He was just in over his head.

And it can be argued that we're making the same mistake this year if we keep Chaisson over a Jodoin, Cuzner, or Bergeron. But this is the same management group that spent a year recruiting a player only to have him show up and leave after a couple days because this level of hockey is "too serious" for him.

Agreed, 100% Was it his performance in high school hockey that caught the attention of the organization? I remember my sister's boyfriend telling me that he was on the same team as McCarron and McCarron had like.....165 points or something ridiculous like that. I understand this has zero relevance in this thread, but, I'm curious.
