But this is the same management group that spent a year recruiting a player only to have him show up and leave after a couple days because this level of hockey is "too serious" for him. yah, what the heck's with that? What did Campbell expect? Too serious? It's the stepping ground to pro hockey, come on, man... Doesn't look good on management, indeed.

He never should of made the team last year . I dont care what anyone says. Its not his fault that he played so poorly in the games he did play . He just simply wasnt good enough to play at this level. Thats nothing against him as a person because he's a great guy with the fans . He was just in over his head. Agreed, 100% Was it his performance in high school hockey that caught the attention of the organization? I remember my sister's boyfriend telling me that he was on the same team as McCarron and McCarron had like.....165 points or something ridiculous like that. I understand this has zero relevance in this thread, but, I'm curious. It was family connection to the team that got him attention last year. He played high school hockey, got to try out as a walk on, and then made the team over players who played a higher caliber of hockey. You can only get so far with limited ability, plain and simple.

Family Connection Mario picked this guy and praised him both in Print and on the Radio last year , a world of potential he claimed . If Chiasson can score with any kind of consistency then why wouldn't you take the gamble ? So you think Cuzner who is all of 5'8" and 165 lbs is more suited to play the 4th line energy role............because he is only 17 ? He was referred to as a 2-way player ? He never ripped it up at any level ! Chiasson did though ! So do you want a checker (and no one knows how good he is at that ) with limited scoring or do you try a flyer on a potential scorer ? * Everyone knows I'm big on locals , maybe we can keep all of them . I'm just saying that I see a bigger upside with Chiasson . Also for the record I like MacIntosh also but so far from what I have seen Lapostelle has impressed me more ...............................................but it's still pretty early in the Process !

Cuzner is 5'08 165 and Chiasson is 6'00 175...let me ask you...who plays more aggressive and more physical?? Picking a hockey team isnt about taking the 25 most talented offensive players...its about picking guys who can play their role to the best of their abilities. Chiasson is an offensively gifted hockey player, but he is not capable of playing the role Cuzner is capable of. It isnt about age, its about who will do a better job in those 6-7 minutes a night on the 4th line.

I guess I'm having a hard time with the fact that Cuzner is being promoted as a 4th line agressive / physical player while being 5'8" and 165 lbs !

Yes family connection.. cuz from what i heard one of his relatives owns one of the car dealers or a big company said that if you keep Mccarron that we will put more money in the team and i guess that is what they did.. its sad to say but according to people they say that there is no politics involved in hockey.. haha prime example there
Chiasson has alwayz shied away when it comes down to the crunch and when it came to getting to the corner first.. he wont go in first and he will alwayz hang in the high slot to be able to get a shot on net.. so in other words he does not like the dirty play one single bit.. even tho he is 6'00 175 lbs it does not matter one bit if he plays scared and cant throw his weight around and cant play physical.. cuz it's a tough league to play in..
From what i seen.. even tho Cuzner is a smaller boy.. he plays like a big one and is very agressive and is certainly not scared to go in the corners and get the puck.. if you dont go in the corners in this league you will not be able to play in it.. cuz if you dont do it.. some one else will which means that the next game you will probly be watchin the next game from the stands..
We all know that Chiasson can put the puck in the net but last year the Major Midget league was pretty well washed down and he was playing against 15 and 16 year olds and that he was having the ice that he wanted so that's why he has so many points.. even tho i give him all the credit in the world and wish him all the best to be able to crack the line up.. good luck!!

He got 45 in high school hockey that year, picket up 55 in intramural and 65 between pond hockey and floor hockey.

In Todays Post , Durocher says that Lapostelle,Fournier and Bergeron have all officially made the Team as the Cegep Deadline passed Midnight Sunday. He is cutting one Goalie , one Defenceman and one or two Forwards . He indicates that Gauthier and Tesink are not in their future plans as 20's . Does anybody think Holden could be moved after Roy returns ? Is Micallef the odd man out on Dee ? Of Muir , MacIntosh , Cuzner and Chiasson ......Who's in ? Who's Out ? Things certainly are getting interesting !

I think that Veronneau will go back to midget for another year . Micallef will not be cut , Tesink is the defencmen that will be cut . After last nights game you have to think that its down to Cuzner , Chaisson and MacIntosh . All of the them impressed me last night . If i was picking the team today . Cuzner would be on the team with Chaisson being very hard to cut . I dont think Muir is even in the picture , from what i heard he was cut and then brought back to fill a roster spot in the pre season ?
That leaves us with :
Adam - MacDougall - MacNeil Hertzberg - Horyl - Stinziani Shaw - Le Sieur - Bourgeois Bernard - Lapostolle - Bergeron Cuzner / Deveaux /
Broduer - Ward Meilluer - Ellis Saab - Micallef Fournier
Roy Holden

Lapostelle is kind of reminding me a bit of Alexis Piette. Both of them have size, both of them played on the same AAA team, both of them were late round picks, both of them had so/so camps at 17 and cut, both of them had so/so seasons in Jr AAA as 17 year olds and both of them made their respective QMJHL as an 18 year old starting off on the 4th line.
Ive always liked Lapostelle, wont be surprised if he pushes his way up to the 3rd line by mid season.
