Another great example of a change in scenery that I always love to remember is Michael Dubuc. He went from sitting in the stands/spot 4th line duty in PEI.... to a multiple-time 40 goal man in Rouyn, almost overnight. Dubuc didn't need a change of scenery just a different Coach. For whatever reason Jean didn't appreciate the skill everyone else saw and almost ruined the kid. Rocket fans were pissed when Dubuc wasn't playing and even more upset when he was traded for a 20 yr old defenseman. No surprise that as soon as the kid started getting some ice time and had a coach who supported him he exploded.

I was a huge Dubuc supporter and very annoyed when we dealt him for a stopgap dman but I also was quite surprised he turned into a 40 goal guy immediately

Clem had him in a 4th line fighter type role in his rookie season. After Clem left, Danny Grant never really supported Dusablon at all, traded him away and he turns into a 40 goal, 100+ point man. To add insult to injury, a season and a half later we trade away another 100+ point man, Brandon Reid, (at the draft) to get him back.

We also gave Val D'or Didier Tremblay for Mauro Dipaulo.

I presume in showed up at training camp last year, didn't make the team and Gatineau cut him loose. I wonder if hullbob has any info on him. i remember hearing about him but he never came to camp and i guess the video cleared up why, so haven't seen him, but certainly all decent free agents are worth a look.

John Moore reporting that Brown met up with the Mooseheads at the airport in Montreal, and is now on the team bus to Val-d'Or. Should be interesting to see if Brown gets any points on this road trip...assuming he's not a scratch of course.

Lester Brown got some play time today in Moncton. Any word on how he looked today? He skates pretty fast but he is like a chicken with it's head cut off, not a lot of skills from what I saw.

John Moore is reporting on his tweeter, twitter.com/rinkrant, that the Mooseheads are keeping Lester Brown. I wonder if anybody is going, or will they go with 15 forwards, at least until the Christmas trading period.

Lester Brown has been released. Russell wants to get down to only one extra forward and one or two extra defensemen. More to come, according to the Chronicle Herald at thechronicleherald.ca/Sports/1148824.html

He doesn't accomplish much on the ice despite good wheels.

John Moore follows up: " Could be new face in Moose lineup Thursday. 18 year old forward Lester Brown is not an import but Dutch. Plenty of speed and some skill." Perhaps LLLP has more info on this guy? Wonder if he is related to Todd Gack? What is that ....Dutch ?
