I wonder what donger thinks of the moves that the "baboon" has pulled off this summer. Yea what a shock donger isn't around . But then the first 3 game losing streak we have, or if MacKinnon doesn't score a goal for 2 games, she'll pop back up with some garbage post. Same old. Where's sharrow lately too? All these people who flooded the board over the last 3 years have mysteriously gone missing over the summer. Had to take a look and I see that good ole Donger hasn't posted since Feb 27, 2010 and hasn't logged in since Jan 24, 2011- I guess things are going too well now ;D

The great thing is that while all eyes will be on MacKinnon, guys like Frk, Ciampini and Drouin (who by most accounts could/should be another standout rookie) can steal some spotlight under much less pressure. Everyone is trying to predict how many pts MacKinnon wil get and how dominant he will be, but I`m just as excited to see where Frk and Ciampini are, and how effective Drouin can be right off the bat. Then you have the other less flashy names like Ashley, Grenier and Ryan. Cannot wait! Another small but good thing is we will have most of this young talent right from the start, as barely anyone will be off at NHL camps diluting the roster. Good time to take some wins off top teams missing some veteran talent. I was thinking about that the other day... the team has seemingly been trying to one-up itself for the last 14 months or so. Pick Ciampini 2nd overall and the first high end pick in a long time, doesn't hurt either that in the next round you add very dangerous Ashley, wait a month and they are forgotten when Frk becomes part of the puzzle. Now this year they pull off one of the bigger trades in Moose history adding Drouin to get us drooling, and quietly a franchise goalie?, a month later we're hearing Hardy should finally become a Moosehead. And to top it off they complete possibly the most important trade in team history and add MacKinnon without it costing any off the above... and it feeling affordable with a windfall from Erne. Throw Ryan, Grenier... actual picks left over... momentum. I'm just as interested in seeing some of the depth guys and what they can do as well. I could not say it any better than you just have, and I think our drafted goalie we picked up was a good choice. But one thing you kinda forgot was Terenzio I would'nt sail him down the river just yet or even say he does not have the possibility to be one of the best in the league. Not that you implied that but I believe he may be one of the great links to the mighty chain where building.

When it comes to a team that's fun to watch. Terenzio can be worth the price of admission sometimes.

Hopefully the Mooseheads organization holds true to their word and doesn't over-hype MacKinnon. Last thing we need is to put way too much pressure on the kid. Not everyone out there has a Crosby-like knack of exceling at a young age under huge amounts of pressure. The hype is already huge around this kid. Lets let him show us what he can do. I already feel bad for projecting how many points he will get without even seeing him play one game in the Q. I imagine a 9000 person crowd on Sept 16 against Bathurst will be enough pressure for him. 9000? I want our first sellout in years!! Better be 10000+, that will calm MacKinnon's nerves

I think the buzz will bring a huge crowd for at least one game. I've had people that didn't go to a single game last season ask me when they could get a Nathan MacKinnon Jersey. All those people that stayed away because of Bobby Smith, and how horrible they perceived him to be running the team, might come back for the first game as well.

I expect around 9000 for the home opener. The media has something to create a buzz about. It has a big impact on walk ups.

Maybe 7200 might be a bit small, maybe 8200-8500 people. After Xmas you will get single games where the crowds might reach capacity.

I think we are usually in the 7000-8000 range for home openers. Its still summer season to alot of people, usually some of our best weather. I would expect somewhere in the 8000 range to be likely though.

I'll be at their home opener its fall to me once hockey rolls around, I'm dying to see MacKinnon and Drouin you guys have no idea, getting the top 3 picks makes me feel like we finally won the lottery. Which in a sense I guess we did in being able to strike up the deal to get Mackinnon he's special and so is Drouin so them both at the Canada games for Team NS!!!
