Here are some more free agents we can expect to see. Chad Cameron D 1990-06-12 6'01" 186 Harrison McIver C 1990-01-08 5'10" 160 Brendon Wright D 1990-05-04 6'01" 210 Wright is pretty good, he was hurt in the 2nd half, if he was healthy he likely would have been picked. McIver is a good 2-way forward...good speed and skills, a bit of a pest. Cameron is a skilled player...hes a forward not a D like they have listed.

Gervais, Lachaine and Locke are not listed either...this is very odd!

I think the Rocket had the same problem last season where they didn't list all of the names when they first post the roster.
Not very professional IMO but I am sure that Gervais, Lachaine, Locke and Mosher will be here.

I am pretty sure that is simply the Guardian posting the Rocket's roster from the Q site.
Personally I would be very suprised to see:
Lafferriere, Praught, Lebel Gillis and especially MacAuthur and Downing (although that would be great).
Hoping to see Goodyear but he may not bother coming either.

The list on the Rocket site is the list of who is coming to camp.

The list on the Rocket site is the list of who is coming to camp. Are you trying to say that you know for a fact that Mosher, Gervais, Locke and Lachaine won't be in camp?

Also noticed that the Rocket invited Kristopher Schmidt to camp as well.
He spent some time last season with Bathurst (16gms) and 6 with Drummondville before returning home to play tierII in Ont.

Savard: Rocket future is bright President/GM?is excited going into training camp
CHARLES REID The Guardian
P.E.I. Rocket president and general manager Serge Savard Jr. has had exactly 132 days to recover from the team’s first round exit in the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League playoffs in April.
And it seems he’s done just that as the Rocket training camp opens Friday at the Pownal Sports Centre.
“We’re very, very, excited,” Savard said Tuesday. “We’re all looking forward to the next couple of years. We have some of the best young prospects in North America. There’s a buzz around Chris Doyle right now about next year’s (NHL) draft. Same thing with (Jordon) Southorn, same thing with (European draft pick Jan) Kana coming in.”
Doyle made Canada’s national under-18 team competing at the Ivan Hlinka memorial tournament in the Czech Republic and Slovakia. He tallied two goals and an assist in an exhibition game versus Slovakia over the weekend. Canada tied Sweden 2-2 in its opening game Tuesday.
Those are three of the 50 players vying for about 24 spots. Decisions on Quebec players must come before Aug. 20 because of CEGEP (collegiate-level education facilities in Quebec) registration regulations. P.E.I.’s first exhibition game is Sunday versus the St. John’s Fog Devils in Summerside. Game time is 7 p.m.
Regardless of the roster, it means a new-look Rocket. Gone is leading scorer (and team scoring record holder) David Laliberte, who signed with Philadelphia, and Guillaume Doucet, pound for pound one of the best second-line, set-up men in the league last year.
On defence, Marc-Andre Gragnani, a Buffalo Sabres prospect, is headed for the pros while 20-year-old Lucianno Lomanno graduated.
Still, Lomanno’s been replaced by veteran Jason Swit, a former academic Marcel-Robert Trophy finalist with Cape Breton, and 18 players are returnees from last season.
“Every team in the league has lost their best three or four players. Your leader is your 20-year-old, but other players pick up the slack. We have (Brett) Morrison coming back, we have (Geoff) Walker, we have (Martin) Latal,” said Savard. “The wheel turns. Every year it’s the same thing, we’re saying ‘we lost (Cory) Urquhart, we lost (Michael) Lambert, we lost Doucet, we lost Laliberte’, but that’s the nature of the game.”
Also new is trainer Mark Kiervin and assistant coach Corrado Micalef, taking over from Dave Flanagan.
“I don’t see any problems (with Kiervin) I think he’s going to be very good,” said Savard. “And I love what I see from the chemistry from my coaches.
“Right now we can put four lines and seven defencemen in our roster. We have a very solid club, but there are always things that happen in training camp. We’ll look at making maybe one trade, but if it doesn’t happen we’re very comfortable with the club we have right now.”

Nice little blurp in the Guardian and if you want to try and read between the lines a little bit some interesting comments from Savard.
Firstly with regards to the coaching staff I think he is not so suttley acknowledging that Jean and Flanagan didn't see eye-to-eye last season.
I also found the comment about a potential trade interesting. Anyone have any guesses who they might have in mind?

So does this mean Serge knows for sure that Morrison is coming back? As far as the trade goes, I'd be looking to see what we could get for Lachaine. We seem pretty deep at center. Not that I've heard anything, he just feels like the odd man out.

"We have (Brett) Morrison coming back," That's what I find most interesting. God I hope he knows something I don't and that he knows for sure he's coming back...

"We have (Brett) Morrison coming back," That's what I find most interesting. God I hope he knows something I don't and that he knows for sure he's coming back... Who's to say I kind of considered that simply assuming the positive until you hear otherwise. I doubt that Savard knows any more than we do as it will simply come down to Morrison's camp and how he compares to other players. If he looks ready to play in the AHL he will be there but if Anahiem thinks another year in Junior would be beneficial then he will be back. The only positive is they can return him to Junior without losing his rights and I believe Anahiem has a pretty deep AHL team given that not many were promoted last season or are likely to be this season. I really do wish Morrison the best and either way will be happy for him but I would be tremendously disappointed if I didn't get an opportunity to enjoy watching his skill and work ethic while playing in a Rocket uniform this season.
