Coon-Come was expected, but I thought they would hang on to Little a but longer.........but they must have seen enough.
D set at: Lessard-Southorn Gervais-Main Deighan-Swit Clow Malouin

He has been playing D along, but did play some time up front during last nights game. From what I seen from him, he's pretty solid back on the blueline, and I would have no problem having him on the ice as a regular 3rd pairing...... He could be kept to play up front, but so far I like what I see from him on the D side of things.

I think you will see in the next set of cuts:
Wright---Let the kid drop the mitts this season in the MJAHL as a 17yr old. Come back next season at 18. More experienced, and a year older/bigger. IMO
McKinley---IMO, DesRoches took his job. They were gonna keep MacLean and Street no matter what apparently, and with the way DesRoches has been playing, he's making it to hard to cut him. As did Paynter last season. McKinley has not turned up his game enough to give him the spot.
If we keep Main on the D, our FW's may look like this:
Latal-Morrison-Walker Kana-Doyle-Locke Schmidt-Lachaine-Cliche MacLean-DesRoches-Paynter Street

The trade for Little is one that I will never understand from two aspects. 1. Given that Moncton was willing to move Little despite their limited defensive depth so I am not sure what the Rocket were hoping from him. 2. With a very solid young core of 17 yr olds even if he was capable of playing in the Q (even though Moncton didn't think so) it would have been unlikely that he would offer more than Malouin, Clow, or Deighan in terms of potential. Too bad about Coon-Come I really loved his style and really was hoping that they were going to keep him and develop him. Unfortunately it came down to a numbers game where Schmidt came in and earned a spot as an invite and DesRoches has really impressed. Hopefully Coon-Come comes back even better next season and earns a spot because I think he is good enough to play in this league and could really help this team in the future. Best of luck Jeremiah

Actually Maine played defense most of his hockey career, and it was Gatineau that had him as forward for awhile.

If we keep Main on the D, our FW's may look like this: Latal-Morrison-Walker Kana-Doyle-Locke Schmidt-Lachaine-Cliche MacLean-DesRoches-Paynter Street Nothing wrong with only cutting one more forward and then letting MacLean/DesRoches/Street/McKinley rotate in the 12th & 13th forward positions.

Give him some experience. Should make him a better scrapper for the Rocket next season. I do hope they bring someone in that can do the enforcing though. It'll be just like the first half of last season when the skilled players(goaltender included) were getting abused.
