I couldn't give a sh** if the guy spoke Spanish! Just get a coach that can motivate this team. I can't imagine what it is like in the Rocket dressing room. The Boys must be pretty down but they have to keep their heads up and get going. Hopefully Rocket fans will see a new and improved Rocket team on Friday.

We couldn't care what the guy did as long as he could coach but french people around the Q seem to have each other's backs. It's too bad that political stuff like that comes into play, but it does. *Post Edited *

I think it should be the best qualified coach regardless of where hes from, but, that is not the way Sergie Jr. does things.

I would love to see Dave Cameron leave St Mikes and come to coach the Rocket....as well as be the GM. Dave is one of the best coaches PEI has ever produced

Administrators, PLEASE get this racist garbage off the thread. The French, The Jews, what's next, Blacks? Ignorant! Ignorant? It's the truth... I never said anything hateful... just said they stick together and they do It's NOT the truth! - it's only something you've come to believe under that rock where you live, based on no evidence whatsoever other than your long-held biases. Categorizing ethnic or language groups like that is DEFINITELY racist - it's the essence of racism....and if you're too dense to understand that, then I can't explain it to you. You're 50 years behind the times. Smarten up, you're embarrassing yourself.

Perhaps I am not the one living under a rock cause I never attacked anyone and I know Jewish people that admit they all look out for each other. There's no hate, whatsoever, in the statement... Having each other's back is an admirable trait.. Too bad more of the Rocket players didn't have their teammates backs over the past few seasons..

Dave is one of the best coaches PEI has ever produced Cameron has a decent track record in the OHL. He's familiar with the local market from the AHL days. The only drawback is that he is fairly close to the Senators and Melnyk in particular. He just moved from Melnyk's AHL team back to his junior team.

I was at the Yarmouth/Abbies game tonight and I was impressed with the way the Mariner team is coached. Played well positionally all night, moved the puck well on the pp and they set up well in both ends of the ice, well prepared team. The team is coached by former Boston Bruin Steve Kasper who also coached the Bruins for a couple of seasons. I know it was only one game and not sure if he would be a good fit for the Rocket or not, but during the game I kept thinking that it was too bad that the Rocket were not prepared as well as they were. There are good coaches out there, it's just a matter of Savard finding one and pulling the hook on Jean.

countryboy created this great thread, so please stay on topic and away from the ethnic generalizations, or I will need to lock it.
Thanks
