Yes! That hip check was amazing! I noticed we were doing a good job at getting into shooting lanes last night. The scoreboard didn't really show it but it seemed like we blocked a decent amount of shots.

Tough loss against a talented Eagles squad. The first 2 periods looked promising for the Rocket. I don't know what happened but after they went up 4-2 they just stopped. You can't stop playing against a team like C.B. They did have some pretty good chances close to the end but couldn't put it in the net. I liked the way Guy played the bench. These boys need to play in a game and get going. Sitting at the bench watching isn't going to do it and the new coach obviously feels the same. He did say that he was a "teacher" first. Locke looked like he was struggling out there. when he got out of the penalty box and went full steam to the net he went off the ice favoring his foot. Later on he was still having a problem. I hope he didn't go back too soon because that type of injury is difficult to heal and there is always the chance of reinjury. I bet the boys would like that game back or to at least play the 3rd period again. I see good things ahead for this team because the coach believes in ALL of the players and not just the first 2 lines. They will now learn to play as a team and the top guys won't have to feel like they have to carry the team. Should be a good game Friday night at the CCC.

Yep our first pass out of our zone is a big problem.. but it is a problem that can be easily fixed with some work
Tho getting an offensive experienced dman would certainly help
Definitely lots of room for improvement but that is to be expected.. old (bad) habits die hard.. if Guy is as advertised tho we'll see many of those habits disappear (ie. floating to the bench on line changes , not finishing your checks etc)... those can be dealt with
i'm definitely looking forward to the remainder of the season and with some tweaking at xmas to clear up the logjam we have i think we can make some noise....
p.s. i like what coon-come brings but he is not ready to play 2nd line yet.. kid is too slow with his release

I really like the energy Coon-Come brings. I'd like to see Paynter Coon-Come and Gallant together. I think that combination would make a solid checking line with a pretty good upside to pick up some points.
Lachaine/Locke can center for Kana and Latal.

Also, nice to see Gallant skate over to the Eagles bench after the game was over and shook the hand of coach Vincent, as well as a few quick words.

I like Coon-Come, but as you said, not ready for 2nd line yet. I like his effort and he plays well, but I think next year is when he will be more of an impact second line player. The thing is that right now, he is the best option for second line. One of the areas that I think the Rocket need to upgrade on during the trading period.
