wow this is hard to believe , a person from maine actually knows more than a lot of our fans... "the coach can only work with the players he has"!!! pity a lot of our fans would not have know that when they shit all over yannick jean. the record speaks for itself...say no more. Do you honestly think that the Rocket would have won with Jean behind the bench? well lets se. we win three in a row , we change the coach and now lose 5 in a row...doing the math tells me we would not be any worse off!

Let me rephrase the question so you can understand what I meant....Do you think that the Rocket would be a contender with Jean behind the bench? I am getting the impression that you are enjoying see them lose under Chouinard to prove your point that it was all the players and not the fault of Jean.

This Board almost makes me feel good about having Pascal Vincent running the show in Cape Breton !

Gonna take a while before Guy's style of coaching gets through to these kids it seems. Chouinard is doing the best. We all get the picture Wallee, you aren't impressed with the coach, you seem to be enjoying that they are indeed losing after replacing Jean. So, take your tims to the next game, sit back and gloat and we'll see you in the playoffs.
Remember folks, Jean had three years to screw up this team, lets give Guy some time to fix it. This team is not his yet, he didnt' pick it and he is working with what he's been left with, and well, give him some time, till trade time at least, then see if he can get the players he wants and work towards building the team he is looking for. I am sure he isn't pleased by being 0-5 as the new coach and knows the knives are going to be out for him.
I dont' think anyone ever said that Jean was the entire problem Wallee, in fact many of us have spoken to the fact that the team needed a big internal change. Maybe Guy being the DHO is the beginning of this change. Its gonna be a while before this ship is righted but I still believe they did the right thing by geting rid of Jean, and the rebuilding is hopefully underway.
Now...if the boys can just show up and play a full game that would also be nice.

Hopefully they got stuck in the US
not at all wanting to watch this team lose anymore
and Jean wouldn't have been able to win these games either
Hal I would take Pascal Vincent as our GM anyday.. he's done a tremendous job for you ungrateful Capers for years.. yet you carve him every year like spoiled brats because you don't win a league championship.. kinda sickening actually

I am sure Guy will have the team running fine in the future. Just look at the Sea Dogs when Clipboard Larue was running things, Beaulieu came in last year and you could see where we were improving but he still had a bad record. And now, look at us this year, he finally brought us from pretenders to contenders.
Granted, we were an expansion team and traded a large chunk of our dead weight but still

Clipboard Larue...... ya. perhaps they should have hired him. i still think a clipboard to the head of a few is all this team needs.

Fuck you. How many times do you have to give a GM or coach the benefit of the doubt? When your team loads up for a championship run and has multiple NHL draft picks & a #1 overall pick on the team and wins ONE playoff game then you can have the right to criticize us. Cape Breton fans ungrateful for criticizing Pascal Vincent. You're approaching chsb levels with that crap.

Agree... even through the worst periods of calling for Vincents coaching head, you guys have always applauded his GM skills.... and never wanted him removed from that position.

Uh oh bois....it would appear you got under someone's skin.
QMJHL Titles Cape Breton - 0 PEI - 0
Pretty even there. Playoff runs are great but you don't get rings for those. After players have come and gone it's titles they look back on.
Take the Remparts...6 championships....now that's some thing to throw around!

I really don't give a flying shit if I got under someone's skin or not. Pascal Vincent has given Cape Breton fans a damn good hockey team to watch for 5-6 seasons in a row and yet every year when they lose in the playoffs they all call for his scalp and now when our team is sucking they come on here and make little comments about us.. so fuck me? no sir fuck them
I'd take 6 years of entertaining hockey, winning seasons, players developing into actual NHL prospects, and multiple playoff rounds over what Savard has given us
Only one team can win a championship each year... you cant judge success by that

I am getting the impression that you are enjoying see them lose under Chouinard to prove your point that it was all the players and not the fault of Jean. far from it, i am not enjoying this at all. in fact i have been behind this team from day one and if things do not improve this year i am serously thinking of this being my last year. the problems come from the top! plain and simple. what has pissed me off is the way everyone has shit on yannick for the poor performance these last three years and i feel it is total unjust. thats all. had yannick been coaching the last five games who knows how many we would have won. but he couldnt have a worse result than we have had could he? bottom line is yannick is and was NOT the problem. the people that shit on him for three years have treated him unfairly.

Yannick Jean was a very inexpereinced coach hired at a bad time... inheriting a bad team... however the team changed completely from the day he was hired to the day he was fired yet his results didn't change
Yannick Jean was not a qualified coach for the QMJHL
He was not treated unfairly at all
Having said all that... he was not the entire problem either.. but then nobody ever suggested he was

well you have the right to your opinion. i disagree on two points.
1) there have been "many" people wanting his head from the third game he coached here. period.
2) he IS qualified to coach in the Q and time will prove that. mark it down.
having said that we have who we have as a coach and lets pray to christ he can turn things around so we could at least win ONE game.....
also, i dont know how you can say results did not change. last year we improved a huge amount. remember we even MADE the playoffs!
