The two things that this team really need to address right now is goaltending and defense. I'm not saying trade Lafleur or anything, but the kid needs to get his confidence back and be that goalie he can be. I thought he had a good game last Saturday in Halifax, even though they lost, he needs some help in front of him, and I hope it's something that is addressed at the trade deadline.
We have some great players up front and we're able to score goals, although I do still expect a move or 2 to be made there. I think Chouinard is capable of turning this team around, it may just take a bit longer then what fans were expecting.

Sorry but this thread is just Plain Stupidity. Fire The Coach Yeh ok considering he is the coach with the most wins in the league right. love to see u coach a Q team with players aging 16-20 see how u fair out. Guy will make this team work you wait and see. But other then that i think this topic is bogus imo.

Cut him some slack...he's coming in part way through a season and trying to clean up the mess that was left for him. You can't judge him after being with the team for 1 1/2 weeks. Give me a break!

Come on boys the only reason this started is because of all the fire Jean stuff that went on for so long lol ;D Seriously seems strange that after Jean gets a 3 game winning streak Guy comes in and the Rocket lose 4 straight I don't care personally as long as it's not us at the bottom This has to be frustrating for Rocket fans I had your team pegged as a top 4 team in this division. The defense is one thing but I had figured on a much better year for Lafleur too! |

Boy, I feel for this new coach......he has some job ahead of him..How do you motivate a team when they don't seem to give a shit....if he as good as people say, this coach will get them going. Is the Rocket a team full of egos?? Maybe he should tell them before games to leave their ego's in the dressing room and get out and play as a team. The D is hurting big time and I don't know what is wrong with Antoine.....he needs to gain his confidence back... N.Y. is watching him closely and I'm sure that they are not too pleased with what they have seen.

The Rocket have talent but unfortunately the mix is just way off. Hopefully Chouinard is allowed to play the GM role as well as coach and has the freedom to make the moves your team needs. Unfortunately it means you guys get worse before you get better because Morrison and company would need to be traded for young players and draft picks. Then Chouinard can form the team to his liking and get back to winning games.
At the start of the year I thought Cape Breton would be the team to blow it up and go into full rebuilding mode, but obviously it's you guys who need to be doing that.

you need d, and they aren't readily available. And you could use multiple of them. So, you are probably better off moving 20s of value, and anyone you can convince another team to overpay for (cough, Doyle, cough)
