That sounds great, Junior!
Kind of thing they should have done a long time ago.
I'll check it out later, on my way home.
Just one thing, though - why are you driving around instead of being in school, where you should be?

See its little things like that. That will attract more fans also due to the fact they doing stuff to the rink etc means they are all about this town and staying here which could go a long way also.

You're right, Junior, little things like that - LOTS of little things like that - really matter.
Have to increase the team's visibility in the city.
Having the games on the radio again would be a very big thing, in my opinion, in addition to better radio and TV coverage.
Unfortunately, with our so-called "local" radio stations all owned by people in other provinces, that's not about to happen.

What ever happened to The road signs they had up? Like the one coming off the bridge and the one on north river and bel? saying when they played and when the next game was? That was a very good idea But they are no where to be seen so far?

They still will get listeners ... people that happen to be in their cars during game time (for 10 mins ?) ... and people that don't have computers and/or high speed internet connections (seniors ?) ... but the numbers of regular listeners would be very small compared to the past few years. I'm not so sure that is viable anymore when it comes to attracting advertisers and the like.

Hockey talk here people not a chat room.

I'm not so sure that is viable anymore when it comes to attracting advertisers and the like. Some truth to this, although kind of unfair to imply that seniors don't have internet connections! Having games on the radio connects the team with the local community - it makes the game sound like an event, not just a webcast out in cyberspace for the few who are logged on. The insertion of local ads make the event feel part of the fabric of the city. Even if one has internet connection, one is not always on the computer (other people in the house may be logged on) - one may be doing something else at home and listening to the game at the same time, or, as you said, listening while in the car, or even at work. Local broadcasts are important, the way I see it - if the games were on the radio, I'd never listen to the webcast, nor even watch it on Telus, where you can barely see anything.

The Rocket must have gotten the sign for free, if they were to spend money put in to something the fans can enjoy radio broadcast , replay screens, a good wireless mic. Things for the fan not for exposer on the outside.

while it is nice to have lots of signs and visibility in the community the bottom line is, if the product oin the ice is not entertaining it doesnt matter what else you do....
no sense drawing the fans in , and they leave the game disgusted.
imo

Things for the fan not for exposer on the outside. That's a proverbial cheap shot. The Rocket did something good, they put the logo on the building, and all you can say is "They must have gotten the sign for free". How the hell do you know that? Dumb thing to say.
