Just came across this....ISS Top 30 skaters...NHL's 2008 Entry draft..Updated Sept.07..there are only 3 Q players on this list. #13 Kelsey Tessier, #16 Partrice Cormier, #25 Yann Sauve. Where is Doyle? Have they changed this list?

I just don't get Doyle being ranked so low. Purely an NHL type player who should be ranked above his stats, but the thing is he isn't even ranked to his stats in comparison of other players. Nonsense.

Nonsense. The knock on Doyle from the scouts I spoke to is that he doesn't contribute except scoring goals and his off ice attitude and habits are crap...basically he needs to get his head on straight and start playing an all around game.

I can't understand why a player of Doyle's calibre is having such a hard time.Chris better get his act together and start playing an all round game because the scouts are watching and obviously don't like what they have seen. What is his problem?? get with the game Doyle or you will have problems getting anyone to look at you come June.

I can't understand why a player of Doyle's calibre is having such a hard time. What hard time is he having? he has 29pts in 25 games. Look at the other 17's in the league, and their stats.

Heard the same thing about Doyles attitude. If he is indeed Grags like I wish they'd get rid of em.

Agree wholeheartedly. Doyle is good, but at 17, he's not going to carry the team. Only 17 y/o I can remember carrying a team in the Q is Crosby. He has the same amount of points as Brad Marchand... highly regarded... and in 3 fewer games. The only 1990 born players outscoring him are.... Knotek... very highly regarded Euro playing with Voracek Tessier... who outscored him last year as well. Doyle is having a great year. cb

If Doyle is indeed making such a mark, why are the scouts talking about his attitude and that he just scores goals? I would say that he does have abit of the Grags attitude bug and he should get rid of it and fast because I don't think M.A. is having such a great time in the AHL.

He's not having problems in the AHL because of his attitude, it's because of his lack of a defensive game which most here on the board would have readily pointed out while he was here. It's just been exposed a whole lot more playing against professional hockey players.

This being Doyle's draft year, you would think he would be striving to develop his all around game. But, right now, it looks as if he's all about the points. Too many no-look, behind the back, "I hope you're there" passes have caused turnovers which have led to scoring opportunities, if not goals.
I'd like to think he's untouchable, Score, and even though I don't think he'll be traded, I don't think he's untouchable. I think, if the right offer was made, Chouinard would trade him.

Doyle has value from two perspectives:
1 as developing player with a lot of potential; and 2 as a Local Player he may become a drawing card for fans if he develops and becomes the "real deal".
I think management will want to keep him but if the price is right who knows. In this league I don't think any one is untouchable because your career is only 3 or 4 years and if a player's eligibility doesn't match the team's timing to make a "run" then you're always on the block.

every player that's worn the PEI Rocket jersey should have been tradeable then since we never seem to making a run lol
