The game tonight was a pleasure to watch. I am looking foreward to going to the rink on Friday. We do need a strong start each game. Getting down 3 goals like the game on Saturday takes the wind out of the sails and it hard to get back into it. I hope the team can keep hitting and putting forth a good effort each game. It is much more exciting to watch. Morrison played very well tonight. They should keep this top line together. I liked Doyle's play too. Once he gets his shot under control he will be lighting the lamp a lot more.

nice game to watch tonight. left the rink feeling very good. while not an exciting game we got the result and thats what matters.
great job on the PK. powerplay still appears a little slow moving the puck around. that may come.
gels was solid in the net. all in all a nice change and now look forward to a win friday night

Is it just me, or does it seem the boys tend to play a bit harder in front of Gelinas?

Is it just me, or does it seem the boys tend to play a bit harder in front of Gelinas? That's something that happens a lot, to a lot of teams, and at all levels. Teams tend to play harder with their backup netminder in between the posts.........

Last night was a much better night at the rink than Saturday. Overall one of the best efforts they've put in at the CCC in a while. They guys played well as a team and moved the puck better than they have been. Much better work from the front end back checking and picking up the man in our zone. That extra effort really improves our D.
I'm sure the guys felt good after that one. Hope it boosts spirits and gives them the incentive to come out hard Friday night.
Great to see McKinley get the ice time and really perform when he was out there.
Doyle had one of his better games although he did not pick up any points he he played well, finished more of his checks and played more aggressively than I've seen him in a while. Made a great move on one face off to generate a chance.
Not sure what was up with Morrison being tossed so much from the face off circle. I could not see what happening but he was tossed more than I've ever seen.
I thought Marty had a pretty good game. Had lots of chances but just could not finish. I don't know what happened to start the little tilt he was in. He's been doing his fair share of trash talking on the ice so he's gonna get called to dance occasionally good to see him hang on and not get hurt.

Not necessarily the best played hockey game as both teams were a little sloppy but I enjoyed and like many left with that rare good feeling about the team and the game.
I thought Gelinas played a very solid game. He has been an addition and a good choice to backup Lafleur. And with Lafleur's recent struggles I think he deserves some more starts. Too bad the last shot went in but overall I don't think it took away from how well he played, too bad we aren't getting that kind of steady play from Lafleur.
I loved Morrison's game last night he really showed a lot of intensity and played exactly the way we know he can. To me he was the best player on the ice.
Southorn has really broke out since Chouinard took over and looks like a top defensemen. He must have played almost 30 mins and earned very minute of it. What has impressed me the most was not his goal or transition but also his strong play defensively which offensive defensemen usually struggle with early on. Hope Southorn keeps it up.
LIke many mentioned Doyle also showed great effort last night. IMO it looks like someone had a talk with him to explain why he isn't higher on those scouting lists and he is working hard to show that he about more than just big goals.
And McKinley continues to be one of my favourites. I really appreciated how Chouinard took notice and gave him extra ice time in the second half and was really happy to see him recognized with a well deserved star.
I thought Gervais was very solid and has been playing a lot better of late. It worries me to see him fighting with his brace but he seems alright.
Gallant was certainly fired up to play against his old team and had a pretty good game as well.
Finally Lachaine continues to be my favourite player on this team. He has really broken out and is so effective at both ends of the ice. He may not finish as many as he should be he creates chances and is reguarly producing points.
Anyway a struggling (but hardworking) CB team was just what the Rocket needed and hopefully they can carry this forward into Friday's game.

Is there an issue with wearing the brace if it doesn't cover any of the strinking area of your fist?

Hoping for another good performance tomorrow night after last night's game. Gelinas looked solid in the net, disappointing they couldn't hold on for another 36 seconds for the shutout, but the W was more important. I would think he'll get the start again tomorrow night, he deserves it.
Still can't figure out after the way Locke has played lately that he was a healthy scratch last night and Cliche played, hoping to see him moved at Xmas time.

I heard that he was scratched due to his celebration on his goal last game. Oh come on now, you must be making that shit up? What would that have to do with him being scratched?
