IMO, MA is currently the Rocket's go to guy. He's been getting the job done, and really has been playing with confidence as of late. 8-4 record 2.92 GAA 909 SV% Gélinas is such a calm kid between the pipes....Doesn't seem to get rattled at all, and makes the saves look very easy. IMO, Guy needs to continue to play MA, as it looks as though the players are confident with him in goal. 18 yr old Gélinas was not a bad pickup for a 9th rd pick

Is this the same goaltender that everybody said shouldn't have been on the team.
How quick we forget.

Last year we never would have thought of Lafleur replacing Mior. There seems to be a pattern with our goalies. One guy outdoes the previous year's starter and it's been that way for awhile. If I was Gelinas and he remains the No.#1....two words for next year...Evan Mosher.

I love watching him play. Smart move by the Rocket in acquiring him.

There seems to be a pattern with our goalies. only pattern i have seen with our goaltending since the rocket have been here is that we just don't have any consistancy what so ever.

At the begining of the season, I don't think ANYONE would have thought that MA would be playing as well as he is now. I remember at least one among us who thought he might make an impact ... If Gelinas, given the chance, continues to play like he did against Halifax, management will have a tough decision to make, once Lafleur returns from camp ... I'm also of the opinion that Gelinas could become very valuable to the Rocket, in the first half of the season. Mosher could gain more by playing Jr A, where he would get valuable playing time, as opposed to sitting on the bench. Gelinas could be used as trade at Xmas, and Mosher could come up for the 2nd half of the season.

As the late Harold Ballard so eloquently put it "I wouldn't trade Gelinas for god right now”.

Last year Lafleur : (27-19-0) 2.97 %0.909 This year Gelinas : (9-4-0) 2.84 %0.913
I know Lafleur is 6"4 and Gelinas 5"11 but, if Laf was drafted in 2nd round, do domebody think MA have chances to be drafted ?
