I have no problem going with only two over-age players this year, but if they were to add another one I think Chavira would be worth a try. Everytime I see him play I have been impressed and he is playing very well for the Abbies.
Looking at to next year's overagers, who would be considered to be brought back? For one I think Lachaine, based on how he has been playing the last couple of months he deserves to be asked back. The new guy Quaile because if not, it kind of defeats the purpose of the Morrison trade and the 3rd one could be interesting if Latal does come back, because you still have Main to consider. But if Latal turns pro, I think Main would be a good choice. Mind you that could all change during the summer, but with the addition of Quaile it makes me wonder if he was acquired with the possibility of Latal moving on after this season.

As of now, those 3 that you mentioned seem to be the ones I believe. Main Quaile Lachaine Next season we'll have some vet presence on the blueline...something they missed at the first of this season. (Swit) I agree and for the sake of getting ahead of myself because there is alot of hockey left this season, but I am kind of already looking forward to next season.

I think there will be a higher impact 20 added to next years roster... whether it's at the exense of main or lachaine who knows.. and who cares.. too far ahead to worry about that right now
sign Chavira for the rest of this year

I think it's unfair for you to comment about the three rookies with only 1 goal between them. Coon-Come, I'll give you. MacLean hasn't had a lot of ice time, up until the last few games, and has looked good when he did get the time. Cassavant....well, he's played in a total of 2 games, and has a goal, so you don't know if he can....or can't...step up yet. If he's a skilled kid (as they say he is), then I think it only fair to at least give him a try

why is it unfair to suggest a trio of rookies with 1 goal in 40 odd games between them can not all play in our lineup unless we're completely giving up on this year?
i would have 2 of them in my lineup (see the thread i started) but playing in 4th line minutes
adding a chavira would not set their development back at all
and i'm all for giving cassavant some top 6 ice while Tousignant is hurt to get a better feel for what he might provide
Maclean looks better lately and with 7-9 mins a night he probably can chip in a few goals ... but you cant expect 16 year olds to step up offensively very often

Deighan no longer on PEI's roster on the Q site.... not unexpected ... good move .. let him play and get ice and develop.. he'd be our 8th D for the rest of the season
