There is a rumor on the Bathurst board that Miromanov's parents were in Bathurst on the weekend stating that Daniil was coming to Moncton.
This would set up a dilemma on which OA to play/sit/trade.
Can the Cats go with...
Welsh-Arsenault Lecoultre-Weiringa Tucker-Bellamy
spare??
Dunda is one of the guys that brings energy and intensity to the team in a Sill kind of way...

Does anyone know if this is a legitimate rumour? It is a legitimate rumour ... nothing more than that until he shows up.

As much as Miromanov would add a major element of size, speed and skill, this season still hinges on Khovanov coming.
Pelletier and Bellamy are excellent young players, but the core of frontline players needs to be a lot bigger. Championship teams have 7-8 guys like that.
...unless they decide to go back to just "competing" every year and not try and win like Halifax and SJ do.

The Wildcars are at the compete level where Halifax were last season and are 2 years away to being front line team. Even if Miromanov would be coming, it does not make the team a whole lot better as Dunda or Desjardins would need to move. If Khovanov ever comes, it will be after Christmas as he will want to play for his country at the Junior Championship. You cannot expect 16 YOs to carry the team to great heights next March.

Your post is so far off the rails, I don't know where to start... 1-if they build a team around Pelletier, the "go all in" year would be in 2 years, so 19-20. Khovanov would be 19 and hopefully play here. 2-last year Halifax had a very young team, a lot of their talent was 16 or 17(with 3-4 veterans sprinkled in)...Hischier Groulx McIsaac Gravel Durandeau Chainey Cahlebois Lepage Lavoie etc. Moncton this year is a much older team with only 5 total players who are 16 or 17. 3-if they want to be good next year and really good in 2 years, they still have a lot of key building blocks to add. only about 1/3 the current roster will be in the Q in 2 years. None of the 3 OA. None of the 5 19 year olds and only 3 of the 11 18 year olds can play. That's 8 spots on a 23-24 player lineup. Khovanov could be #9. 4-Khovanov wanting to play in the WJHC is irrelevant to him being part of a contender here.

Building around Pelletier will not bring them to heights this present season for sure.
