Some news on one of my favourites from over the years.... Alexandre Goulet is leaving his ECHL team (he is currently the leading scorer) and is joining the UNB Varsity Reds.

Former PEI Rocket forward Josh Currie got his third career AHL hat trick in a 4-3 SO win over the San Jose Barracuda last night. A big night for the pro. Here are the game highlights if you want to see his goals:

Three former Rocket players are going to the Olympics in February. Forward Maxim Lapierre and defenseman Marc-Andre Gragnani will be playing for Canada, while defenseman Adam Polasek will be playing for Czech Republic.

Former Islanders forward Ross Johnston was called up today by the New York Islanders. He currently has 11 points in 37 games with their AHL affiliate (Bridgeport Sound Tigers) this season. Hopefully, he does good.

Former Islanders forward Ross Johnston played in his second career NHL game yesterday for the New York Islanders against the Chicago Blackhawks. The Islanders won 7-3 (umm....how?) and Johnston got his first career point (assist) and first career fight. Big night for the kid.
