It will be very interesting to see how this unfolds..
Mark Grametbauer Nicholas Welsh Julien Tessier Liam Dunda
These could be players moved out.

I don't see Dunda being moved unless his value is higher than I think. Welsh is the only impact worth trading, should be worth a 1st and a good young player or good player as futures.
The 19 year olds will be very attractive.

Might also see a market for one or two 19 year old depth guys, similar to how we were abe to move Lane Cormier and Kody Gagnon last year ... guys like Pataki, Wieringa, McRae who would seem unlikely to be OAs next year.

I could see Pataki but highly doubt McRae or Wieringa are tradeable. Would agree that Pataki would seem most likely ... MacRae probably least likely at this point ... Wieringa, who knows, contending teams always seem to be looking for veteran depth on defense ... someone might view him as a solution in their 6 or 7 spot. Return would be modest - maybe a 6th, or perhaps an inversion of picks of some sorts (say Wieringa and a 6th for a 4th or something like that) ... may end up having more value to us as someone needs to play D for us in the 2nd half, especially if we move Welsh - could come down to how many if any young d-men we manage to obtain in trades at Xmas as we do not appear to have anyone in the system knocking on the door at this point.

you guys will definitely get some value for your 19's and Welsh. I wonder if Bathurst is interested in Grametbauer to play with Pickard. It's been told we're interested in Montpetit but I don't think swapping 20's is a good idea. Grametbauer seems like one of the better 19 YO goalies to target.
Then again you guys traded picks for him in the offseason so maybe he's likely to come back as a 20 for you guys next season.

If Cappanelli can return and live up to expectations than Tessier can be moved.

Unless for an overpayment , I'd be very hesitant to move Grametbauer. He'd be a good player to have around for next year.

Unless a top young Dman is involved, I would hesitate to trade Tessier. This year's team is looking like a mid-pack team ready to take a step forward next year (top 5). Grametbauer and Tessier are the players who would make a strong set of 20 YOs next year and they would not have to trade to obtain similar players at a premium. The Cats have a strong core of 18 YO this year and they will all be 19 YO next year. I believe 18-19 will be the go to year in the new arena. I know that for some, unless we have an NHL team playing junior, it's never good enough to go in. (It's about time for Dugger's annual "we're good but not that good" post )

What team would have interest in Welsh and I wonder what he brings in return ? To me he is our only TRUE asset ...and Yes you just asked the million dollar question! Im not saying others won't get moved or don't have value, its just that our 20 yr olds are the only ones that are assured not to be back...especially Welsh obviously

The 19 year olds will be very attractive. Carl Neill brought two 2nds last year. So I don't see how Welsh alone could be worth a 1st plus a good player....specially that he is 20. Maybe we should sell Holwell for that price....to you.

What team would have interest in Welsh and I wonder what he brings in return ? 1st plus a good young player or good player as futures. For example to Victo... 1st plus Huntington at the draft or Larochelle/Sevigny.

Maybe BLB for a pick + Corbel at the draft.
