I would say it is kinda a must win for the Wildcats. Saint John knows this as well, who no doubt read commentary from here and the Irving sole source rags. The Dogs being the last place team are probably not tuned to be taken lightly in this game, a game that can be considered to arrest the Wildcats nose dive(should they win). Saint John would love nothing better that poke another stick into the Wildcats wheel after all, CB, Islanders and Bathurst did exactly that. No predictions here other that so say it should be a good and probably not a lopsided score either way.

Firing Rumble would be moronic. If they fire Shannon, fine, that's for the greater good. Don't see what other consequence it can have..

They sure didn't look like a team that got a $2500 bag skate last game

If they are not contending this year...isnt a lower standing and high draft pick the hope of the fans?

Isn’t that what this season was about (not contending) but Quality draft picks

I think the rebuilding year is about surrounding the Pelletiers, Belamys and MacDonalds with guys that help them develop and breed a winning attitude for the next couple of years. Drafting a position or two higher doesn't always get you a better player. The worst thing we can have on the team is to allow a can't win attitude to develop. Right now we can win any game if all the cylinders are firing which is not to say we are going to finish much better than where we currently are.

I agree you don't want a losing culture and kids that don't try...I would rather lose 60 games with kids that are giving 100 percent and developing with a goal in sight. But you also need quality draft picks to build a future. Plug in a couple hear and soul vets to rub off on the newbies...hope for some big years.

They still have high picks, they are just not in control of them. First pick of their own this year is not until the 7th round, but they still have at least 1 pick in every round until then, plus an extra 2nd. It's not like the cupboards are bare.
