That's a pretty horrible trade for Moncton. I don't see the point in adding him now if he's going to cost that much. I agree , if we're building for next season , wait till the offseason to acquire an overager at half the price. That's been my point all along, you're like 16th overall, why spend 3 assets on a 19 year old? I would have rather traded a 3rd for a Charlebois or a mid rounder for a guy needing a change of scenery. |

Shannon keeps going against the grain trying to prove he is an evil genius...he blows a pile of assets in the process. The MacDonald and Sylvestre deals are examples of making your life a lot harder than it should be and pissing away assets in the process... |

At least with McDonald you're adding a guy for 3 years in the league that you could likely re-sell at 19 for a good return. There is very little upside to the Sylvestre trade now as it is being reported. I wouldn't be surprised if the cats decide to hold onto Welsh out of some misguided belief that they are contenders. |
