All teams are doing it. Why not us?
Should the Wildcats:
A) Buy B) Sell C) Stand Pat
Welsh would fetch a nice return. He would be an upgrade on Paquette-Bisson in Blainville.
Could be some interest in Pataki especially a team looking to add some depth on their 3rd line. He's been great on the PK.
I would hold on to Grametbauer and Tessier. They would be excellent 20s next season.

Welsh to BLB for Corbeil at the draft
Pataki to Victo for a 6th

I think they need to be sellers. This recent stretch has proven they don't have back end to be a legitimate contender.
They should move Welsh. I think it's wait and see with Grametbauer and Tessier. If Waite holds up over the next month and they get a good offer for Grametbauer I say move him, but it needs to be a legitimate offer. With Tessier I think its dependent on if Khovanov reports for sure and gets in the lineup.

Sell a bit. Should be able to get a good return for Welsh and if a team has any interest in Dunda or Pataki there should be no hesitation to move them.
I have no problem with them moving Grametbauer or Tessier if someone wants to overpay. Otherwise hold on to them for next season.
I wonder how much not having their 1st round pick will play in to what the Cats do? I could see them standing pat for that reason and trying not to slide into a lottery selection. Theoretically they should improve by adding Miromanov and Khovanov.

If getting shitty makes the most sense, then you get shitty. The first is already traded. It’s in the past. Done. Move forward. You can’t let deals already completed influence deals that make sense for the current team. Lots of rebuilding teams don’t have their own first cause they usually trade them to load up. Halifax didn’t have their own 1st which went to VDO for Marchand. Halifax sold anyway. Pick ended up 1st overall. Couple years later Halifax won the Memorial Cup.

Looks like St John is moving Veleno. That will be speeding up the rebuild process for them as well. Also, JF Plante tweeted that Roger Shannon told him we have lots happening

Also, JF Plante tweeted that Roger Shannon told him we have lots happening have to wonder what you could move if there's "lots" happening, Tessier and Gramet moving out? Might be better to keep them as 20's unless the price is really solid. Pataki and Welsh are the only real pieces I see other teams wanting that aren't named the obvious guys you're keeping like Pelletier, Bellamy, McKenna, MacDonald, etc. Maybe it's a lot of siwtcharoo's where you dump some of your weaker guys for other guys of similar caliber.

Landing Khovanov would be 1 move. Sounds like a small deal with Shawinigan is in place as well.

We should have thrown in another 1st and got veleno No thanks. We’re building for 2019/2020. As an exceptional player, Veleno is eligible for AHL at 19. That would be the 19/20 season.

I would love to see them build for 19-20, but I get the feeling they want to go for it in 18-19. I guess we'll see at midseason. If it's a seller's market, I would move any 19 or 20 with top value(Tessier Grametbauer Welsh) and look for assets that can be maximised in 2 years...1st rounders or 16/17 year olds. They would still have a good team next year, then a contender in 19-20. Plus, if they manage their assets(I know, it's asking a lot for Shannon!), they wouldn't need to "empty the cupboards" to contend.

More Roger Shannon, DG des #wildcats. "Reste loin de moi! Je ne veux pas être obligé de te dire ce qui se passe. Il se passe trop de choses chez nous!" #LHJMQ #ledroit
Translate from French
Not sure if I'm happy with this...

How about you start right here? You seem to get confused easily. I said to believe him when he states things in the paper as fact...as in "cats are getting two picks if Miromanov doesn't report". Remember that? Where I don't always believe him is hyping up free agents or low end players traded for that he hypes up big time. See a difference? In terms of that tweet, I don't doubt that Shannon may make 3-4 trades, my concern is that he is getting hosed on them or being a buyer instead of a seller.
