Unless they get someone that RKI likes and feels comfortable with you will never see the end of RKI interference, why I suggested Nolan as GM. I'm sure RKI will interfere regardless, but a good GM will still steer him away from dumb moves.

Bring back the pair Nolan and Flynn, with no interference from RKI. I am willing to go out on a limb in suggesting that isn’t going to happen. Don’t know enough about Nolan but Danny Flynn’s last year here wasn’t a positive experience as I believe he was taken out of coaching duties and moved into a Managerial spot his last year, which no doubt didn’t sit well with him. Actually his coaching style and ability was the subject of much commentary on this board that year, plenty unflattering.

I am not sure that Nolan is at a stage in life where he wants the day-to-day commitment of being a CHL coach and GM. That said ... he appears to be someone that RKI respects ... and has a tremendous amount of goodwill in the local fan base. I wonder, in an effort to create buzz, and also to strengthen the hockey department, if it would make sense to bring him on board in some sort of President of Hockey Operations role, with a coach/GM reporting to him? More of a strategy role, final say on moves, but a GM under him doing the leg work. Buffer between RKI and the rest of the hockey guys ... wouldn't necessarily have to be in Moncton full time.

With today's results the Cats are now 14th place and in a lottery position. Of course they don't own their 1st round pick.
One point back of Baie-Comeau and Cape Breton with seven games to go. Drakkar with one game in hand and the Eagles with two games in hand.

I’m not sure why we keep putting Waite out there. He’s barely made through a complete game without getting pulled. Grametbauer must be exhausted at this point.

I'm surprised we have seen Gaudrault (sp) at all this year. Usually we see the prospects a little bit through the year.
