Hodge article discussing next years team has Waite, Blackmore, Kuzmin, Arsenault and Lazure as in tough to crack the team next year as 19 year olds, speculates one or two could be dealt this weekend. Somewhat interestingly given our high pick in the Euro draft, Le Coultre is listed as likely to return. Whether that is an oversight, or Hodge relaying something he heard from management, who knows? Conventional wisdom re: asset management would seem to suggest we look to deal Le Coultre this weekend and add a younger impact euro with our pick. Passing on a top 15 Euro pick to keep LeCoultre at 19 would be up there with the worst moves of the last 5-6 years...can't see it...but wouldn't bet my house against it! |

Speaking of the article this morning, it seems to make the rumoured Jessiman trade to Moncton make even less sense. They've said they don't want to have a 19 year old backup to Grametbauer so unless they'd move Grametbauer it wouldn't make any sense to add another 19 year old goalie.

The Titan will be drafting very low in the Euro draft in June. Kuzmin could be a cheap top-9 player for them.
