Your right. As ridiculous as his comments about individual players on an opposing were. I think it was a very stupid and classless thing to do but the league should leave it be. He knows he shouldn't have made those comments by now. I'm guessing his peers and even management have probably said something. He will learn or eventually be pushed out of the league all together. There are lots of coaches out there that would love to coach in the Q. You can say it lacks class, I don't think it affects his career any. Patrick Roy made a living out of stirring shit in the papers and nobody ever accused him of having class and he got an NHL coaching job... Most of the Q doesn't even care that it happened ... and the rest of the country certainly doesn't care. It is just a semi-big deal on these boards where people want to discuss anything and everything Q. Something will come up next round and it will all be forgotten.

Beausoleil has a young team, likely just wanted to take the pressure off them.

Nobody is going to come in from the front office and have a chat about talking to the media If your signing their cheque. If a coach keeps on bashing opposition players in the media that will be taken into account when he's looking for his next coaching job. A coach is expected to win but also has an obligation to teach these young men. The ones that do that effectively will rise to the top. If the league just wants to make him sweat a bit. Ok. I don't think an over reaction to his statements is needed either. We already have enough victims in this world. Shake it off and let's move on and forget about it. I'd be surprised if he did it again. We have a game 7. Everyone dreams of scoring a game 7 winner.

I think the fact that discipline is being announced at 5PM just a couple hours b4 the deciding game is a distraction to both teams. They knew about this for a few days.
Hate if it fires up Rimouski. It may be a rallying point if they suspend their coach. If it's just a fine then why the suspense?

I'm excited to see how the guys manage the stress and excitement of a game 7. In the oppositions rink. Does Pelletier have a big game, maybe Capannelli, Aspirot?

Just like he did to Grametbauer.

Guys like Tortorella still get hired even though he has no filter ... but he wins so his boss doesn't mind. I don't think anybody cares if their NHL Coach is bashing NHL players. I seriously doubt that this will affect Beausoleil in anyway with respect to a pro career.

They are the anti Wildcats, who had an older team and were expecting a much better season.

Those are men your talking about that are getting paid. Even Tortorella's rants are getting old and reminiscent of a spoiled rotten brat not getting his way.

Apparently the Q has decided discipline will be issued to Beausoleil for his comments in the media re: Grametbauer - and get this ... the discipline will be announced at 5 pm today! Only the Q would announce discipline on something that happened days ago a couple of hours before puck drop for game 7 ... can you imagine if they announce Beausoleil is suspended for tonight's game? Why the hell would you wait until 5 pm to make an announcement - it sounds like a decision has been reached - just announce the damn punishmentfirst thing this morning and be done with it ... what a gong show ... $2500 fine.

The only other fines this year that were that high were Yanick Jean for comments to the media & the Wildcats for bag skate gate.
