Cats up 3-1 after 1, great start with secondary guys getting in on the scoring.
Current losing streak in Sydney is at 10 games.
Sean Stewart playing forward with Desnoyers heading to U17.

Another win with Leclerc's fingerprints over it. Cats outshot.

Oh dear ... we are first overall in the Q now. Prepare for the wasting of assets and bad trades.

It must be fun being a "cats fan" cheering for them to lose all the time. I would not follow this team anymore if that's how I felt.
Anyway, the Cats got absolutely dominated in the third..but im sure the players are happy to get that losing streak at C200 over with. Especially guys like Cyr/McKenna/Aspirot who have been around for all of it.
Thought that was Stewarts best game as a Cat..the win basically boiled down to the hot start and then Leclerc holding the fort in the 3rd.
Including the Seitz goal the cats had 3 breakaways shorthanded. The PK has been fun to watch this season. Guys like Cyr, Pataki, Pelletier, Seitz & Hudson are all aggressive out there and capable of stealing pucks for breakaways.

It's not about wanting them to lose, it's about wanting them to make the right decisions, RKI is known to be tempted to "go for it" on a whim and it's a dangerous thing. If they are 1st overall in 7 weeks, then they pretty much have to go for it, so far they have been good and overachieved a bit, but also had a relatively easy schedule with a pile of Bathurst and SJ games.

A win is a win it's nice to finally get good goaltending when we need it. This team might just be a little better than we think, confidence goes a long way and goaltending will do that.

Another win with Leclerc's fingerprints over it. Cats outshot. Yea, what a terrible team we have. After all, we wouldn't be in first place overall if the teams below us had played the same number of games.

Jake Stewart has been pretty good since an extended period of games in the stands. He looked painfully slow at the start of the season but seems to have improved that a bit and is using body positioning more effectively to make up for the lack of speed. Clearly a guy who's willing to work hard which is a good sign.

If they are 1st overall in 7 weeks that would be incredibly impressive and they probably should look at making some moves to improve the team. Cats only play Bat/SJ three times in the next seven weeks so that reasoning would be out the window. We went through this last year with a good start and people freaking out in October that they would go for it. At some point it's nice to sit back and just enjoy the wins.

I see that our good buddy "mailing it in" Hodge said the Cats snapped an 11 game losing in streak in Sydney last night. Nope it was 10 games and simple research on the Q site will tell you that.
Has he made any mention at all of Capannelli not playing? Has he noticed? I'm shocked there's an article on MacDonald returning as they just pretended he didn't exist for the longest time.
The worst by far was in September when they re-ran a story from last May where he updated everyone on what the new playoff format is and it was not correct.
I truly feel sorry if anyone is still using the T&T as their main source of Cats information. It's been a while since the coverage has been THIS lackluster. Seems like they just want quantity and don't care at all about the quality.

I don't know anyone under the age of 50 who regularly reads a physical newspaper...yet many younger people have never been more knowledgeable about what's going on around them thanks to social media. Reading errors in newspapers, and they're usually pretty easy to spot, gives them even less credibility. But for many they stopped being about credible news and journalism and opinion a long time ago. They're all just corporate sellouts for the most part now.

I love the fact that we are in first place!! I hope we are still there come Christmas....if not then at least top 5. Adding a few "SMALL" pieces to our defence would give us the depth we'd need come playoffs. I would say any deal that would require us to part with Bathurst's 1st or high-end futures is non-negotiable. With a little bit of tinkering, this team could do some damage come April. There must be some decent #3-4 defencemen available that wouldn't cost us selling the farm, because I'm quite comfortable with Aspirot/Spence/Sylvestre as our top 3.

Does anyone remember what it cost us to acquire Nick Welsh?
