What I was meaning was that they went into the season with those intentions. Injuries and other tournaments have caused a shuffling of some bodies. Part of what we're seeing is a dried up FA market and the fact that if you go all in and don't find a way to bring in the right vets then you risk a scenario where youth is left to learn the ropes with little experience to help get them through making the task feel a little tougher to them. And having no 1st means trading other picks to fix the current problem in the short term likely isn't a smart decision as you're still going to finish near the bottom. This team has followed this method since day 1...pick high, develop, go all in...start over. The 2 years or so where the high end picks are matured and winning should offset any hard feelings left from the rebuild. Hard to argue with their method when it's been working for them. Darrel Young's method worked. Then they fired him. This will be a good team 2 years down the road don't get me wrong, but, the current management hasn't built a winner yet, and some of their trade history so far is... questionable.

Georgie used his own assets to fill in the gaps on Vermette/Kelly's team. Dy drafted 3 times of which we have d'orio left. He traded for vets which upset the youth. I would like some vets but the 98s we don't have are because tessier is the last one in the league, we had 4 players from our 99s draft, and only Mathieu and Campbell are in the q from our 00s

Is there a reason Brendan Sibley hasn't been playing; healthy scratch or injured?

Is there a reason Brendan Sibley hasn't been playing; healthy scratch or injured? Sibley was out with an injury but hasn’t played since returning to health. He has been a healthy scratch the last 3 or 4 games.

besides D'Orio who else do you guys see being moved for some value?
I can see contenders calling for Burt to play 3rd/4th line, he has 11 goals and he's big. Other than him and D'Orio though I can't really see you guys doing much during the trade period.

D’orio ,Burt, maybe will porier could be had for something but yeah not much moves possible. I’d like to try and add more picks this season

Cajkovic will be back sooner than later as his name is not appearing on the roster that Slovakia submitted yesterday for the World Juniors

I think personally the rebuild is going well. I know the product on the ice right now is not the greatest or the most entertaining bunch. But I feel Georgie did a solid job stock piling picks and getting solid players. Gonna suffer right now but watching the games you can tell guys like Jeremie Poirer and Charlie Desroches are gonna be a scary pair in a year or so. And getting guys like Dawson Stairs and Brady Burns later on have a solid base going forward. Also the fact they have 11 picks in the first 2 rounds over the next few seasons puts them in a good spot. I'd rather suffer now knowing that Saint John will be in a better spot to win later then give up assets for players that wont be here when it matters. Got to remember 2013 hurt like hell starting the rebuild. Chabot was a -29 when he was 16. Saint John sucked that year and really only got the wins they had because Sebastian Auger was killer. And they had Mike Kelly as the head coach (which you can't tell me he is a bad coach) The only things I am disappointed in so far this season is Goaltending from both D'Orio and Da Silva. And I don't think Cajkovic has shown anywhere near his potential. Also not saying D'orio is bad. But I feel last season he was facing an onslaught of higher quality chances and keeping the team in the game when they had no business being in it. I feel this season even when the team plays well in front of him. There are quite a few I think he would have stopped last season. Also I hope Mathias Savoie can be good in the Q. Because I dont think Da Silva will be our man next season.

No, its because we have 7 16 yr olds and can only play 5.

No, its because we have 7 16 yr olds and can only play 5. Right and each of these 2 affiliates is allowed a certain number of games which is why there may be 6 or 7 16-year olds in some games. But only 5 can be full-time members of the team.
