I know teams like Cape Breton will play double-headers because they have further to travel (approx 7.5 hrs), but Saint John is only 4 hours away. Will both games be well attended or will fans pick one or the other to go to? Both games should be very competitive as they are very meaningful games to both teams. I'm calling a split. SJ will win tonight, and relax a little for Saturday (pressure will be off), but Bathurst will play a higher pressure game on Saturday and win.

I'd say any casual fan looking at those games is picking 1 of the 2 as 2 straight can get pricey which is possibly/likely a reason they're a casual fan. Especially this time of year post Christmas and peak "heat your home" season.

But i'd say any who are will pick between 1 or the other. Walk up ticket prices for 2 games can get pricey for 2 adults.

The entertainment value is starting to come back in the Dogs games. Even when they lose the game they haven't been getting blown out every night like they were. The team is starting to look much better. The start of the season was awful. They would be down by a few goals early with no hope in coming back.

Some casual fans might be more apt to take in a game against a fellow bad team seeing it as a chance to win.

I'd expect an 8-2 type game and that's not interesting for anybody. This game is probably going to be 5-4 or in that area, back and forth, and a fairly interesting game since the outcome is not so easy to decide. You also have a provincial rival, so that adds a little to it. But this game is probably on Rogers also (or at least it should be) and so that will keep many home to watch in the warmth of their home.

Not only to see our boy Joe Veleno, but also all the talent they have amassed. I realize the game will be one-sided, but as a hockey fan it’s really cool to see a stacked team perform. I also wish I could see the double header this weekend but can’t make it to Bathurst. Nice rink tho, was there for a game a few years ago.

I doubt attendance will be much different than if Bathurst were to play at home back to back nights against 2 different opponents, which would be fairly common. Most casual fans would still choose one or the other unless there was something especially intriguing about both opponents, which would be rare. Might get a few move Sea Dogs fans since they could get 2 games in 1 trip, but that still wouldn't be many.

Whatever happens, neither team should be accused of tanking since neither own their 1st round pick in 2019.

Prikryl with the OT winner after getting the shootout winner the other night. It seems ever since I said he wouldn't be back next year, he's started playing a lot better.

With a win tomorrow, a possibility to move into a playoff spot.
