Next year the line up could look something like this:
Deakin-Poot - Lawrence - Cajkovic New 20 - Burns - Prikryl/New Euro? Stairs - Drover - Plamondon White - Jacob - Macintosh/Williams?/Free Agent?/1st round pick?/
Poirier - New 20 Villeneuve - Desroches 1st or 2nd round pick - Sibley/Musico/Free Agent
Bouthillier Da Silva/Savoie
I would be surprised if this team is not middle of the pack next year.
My lineup looks slightly different but it’s about the same difference, this is still going to be a really young team next season. I think they’re very likely to struggle again, they should be improved over this season but I don’t see them taking a huge jump forward into middle of the pack status like some are suggesting with a lineup this young. When the core group of 17 year olds, becomes 18 year olds, I think that’s when this team should be able to turn into a very competitive team, with them being a contender when they’re 19. Euro- Lawrence- Cajkovic Overager- Burns- Drover Plamondon- Stairs- 16 year old MacIntosh- Jacob- Belisle White, Wilson Overager- Villeneuve Poirier- DesRoches Sibley- Overager Gallant- 16 year old Bouthillier Savoie 20- 4 (1 goalie) 19- 2 18- 6 17- 10 16- 2 As someone who has season tickets in Halifax, that's a lineup I don't want to miss see grow over the next few years. A nice break from the SJ team of this year Personally, I'd like to see Stairs slide up alongside Burns and Drover, I think those 3 as 17-year-olds could really break out and develop together. I know it was mentioned in another thread (not sure but who but credit to whoever), but I could also see the Dogs making a move to grab another top 6-7 pick and maybe grab a guy like Cam MacDonald, and keep their original pick and select a Whynot/Nause. Getting a top 3 player at slightly less value. Very similar to Halifax selecting McIsaac/Groulx 1-2 (just a few slots down), with so many pieces already in place quality over quantity. Another interesting tidbit (of nothing of real importance, but for as being an interesting discussion piece) is that Cole Huckin's family is extremely close with the Stairs'/Lawrences. I've heard a large part in getting Stairs to report/sign was the familiarity with Lawrence/other 16s. I think Huckins will slide due to NCAA options, maybe SJ trys a flyer similar to Halifax with Newhook and it works out. Mind you, the former teammates/friends situation probably doesn't have a large impact, more wishful thinking. If that was the case, Ethan Phillips would be in a Halifax Mooseheads jersey playing for the Mem Cup .

The only part of this I disagree with is if they move up with another pick in the first round I can't see them using both on defenseman. Unless MacDonald slides to a point where he is far and away BPA. Agreed on Huckins. Huckins and Stairs played together 2 years ago.

Cam MacDonald is a forward (I do believe). I think he is by far and away a top 5 talent, if can get him anywhere past 6 I think it is a steal. As great as the NCAA route is and works out for many players, would love to see more kids like Huckins commit to the Q, purely out of the fact we could see their play more often. Hard to make that choice at 15, can't say I envy the kids.

Correct, my mistake.
Just saw the Hockey Prospect released their rankings. Can only see the top 5:
Joshua Roy F Justin Robidas F Peter Reynolds F Cam Whynot D Zachary Bolduc F

This may or may not be posted in the wrong thread but here goes. The Saint John Sea Dogs are the only team in the @qmjhl without a short-handed goal. No Q team has gone an entire season without a SHG, ever. The league started in 1969-70. 6 games left to get one You're welcome.
