So the draft is done. Still the Euro draft but we know more or less now what the team looks like. My initial impression of holes would be as follows... DesNoyers Cyr McKenna Pelletier Khovanov X L'Heureux Hudson King Stewart Formeman F/A Aspirot Spence x x Stewart Dejong Rodrigue Lavallee So the way i see it, we draft either one or two Euros, we still will "need" either a top 6 fwd and top 4 D, or two top 4 dmen..... Trade bait includes Lavallee, 2021 1st, L'Heureux ,,,then futures Anyone agree? Desnoyers - Cyr - McKenna Pelletier - Khovanov - EURO FA - L'Heureux - Hudson Foreman - Stewart - Alchorn Extras: Hebert, Langlois, Parent Aspirot - Spence FA - DeJong Stewart - Walker Extras: Berube, Dow Rodrique Lavallee

Also, has Walker committed to showing up to camp this year? Answered above

I still wonder if Dejong is a top 4 dman. Though if L'Heureux is top 6 fwd this year, that would really help. But it is a big step during a go-for-it year.

I’d like to see him come but those LSL guys always seem to be iffy on whether they’re coming to the Q or not.. wouldn’t be surprised either way.

I do know he enjoyed his time at training camp last August. I'd go as far as giving him the right side of the 2nd D pairing. That will guarantee more ice time.

I know he fell because he might not report but I didn’t think he was much better than an average D prospect, am I wrong?

Trading for 2 top 4 d-men will be more expensive than 1 D and 1 depth forward.

As much as I hate Moncton I can't wait to see how you guys perform this season! Gonna get pay back and kick our asses all season long just like we did mostly to you this season lol. #GoMoncFax #MaritimeRepresent

Any rumblings about the Import Draft? I’m curious what direction we might go It's not a great year for Import defenseman. Moncton will need a top 4 guy but that can be addressed at the Christmas trade deadline. Alexis Arsenault from Rouyn-Noranda is a name that comes to mind. I can see them taking a forward in the Import Draft. A couple names that come to mind: Adam Raska - Czech Republic: www.eliteprospects.com/player/298159/adam-raskaJonathan Brinkman - Denmark: www.eliteprospects.com/player/474443/jonathan-brinkman

I see him as an AF guy that plays 5-6 games.

They must have a plan for a top d-man, can't see them going after a top goalie and not a D-man also. If Aspirot does not return, we need a #1 and # 3 D-man at least, to try and contend. Hopefully Torchetti has connections in Europe. I liked what I saw from Hebert on D when he played but only saw a small sample size, great skater, good first pass and could crack the roster as a third paring or 7th d-man. DeJong is not a top 4 D-man in this league but can play on the top pairings if needed, he lacks consistency but has some good games when he is on his game. Stewart had a good season but also won't be ready for top 4 unless he has a breakout year. Spence is ready to play top line minutes and if he continues to get better as he did last season, he will be one of the best 18 year old D-man in the Qmjhl. We will need a veteran D-man that can play a shut down style no matter what this season, just when and where do we get him . Some mentioned Arsenault from the huskies ? I think any player from that team would bring a boatload of experience that the wildcats will need.
