Rumor has it that Gerard Gallant purposely got fired so he could come coach the Cats.

I suspect WhiteTyAffair's suggestion for Torch to land in Vegas was meant to be a joke (more in line with what might be implied here - Vegas being the WORST place for him)

I don’t have the newspaper so not replying to that but I noticed something today I didn’t realize... The Wildcats are 2-4 games played behind every team in the league. Is that typical? I expect usually a 1-2 game spread but teams having played 4 more games then us?
I’ve felt we’ve hardly played at home or away since Dec really ( I know all teams had a break) but there has been few games at home or away in over a month. Without looking, we must have a jam packed stretch coming, which isn’t always good cause the players get tired playing like 4 in 5 and 8 in 12 type thing vs spreading them evenly.
Just found it weird we were behind everyone

Just found it weird we were behind everyone I was actually looking the other day and I like how the Cats close out their schedule a lot. After March 1st they close off the year by playing 8 games: in Bathurst, a stretch of 5 home games, in Charlottetown, in Halifax. Pretty good stretch for being rested entering the playoffs. 2 Quebec road trips upcoming which could be a welcomed way for the new guys to bond with the team.

Strange that L’Heureux is playing behind Desnoyers if Desnoyers is indeed leaving and L’Heureux staying. He was a healthy scratch and serving penalties.

Strange that L’Heureux is playing behind Desnoyers if Desnoyers is indeed leaving and L’Heureux staying. He was a healthy scratch and serving penalties. I think there are a couple of things at play here. Since most 16 year olds fade down the stretch from the longer season and tougher competition,I am guessing that they are trying to limit his minutes down the stretch so he’s fresher for the playoffs. But since he’s now on the 4th line, no PP time except for the last one, serving penalties like you pointed out, healthy scratch...I would say he’s a little bit in the doghouse with the new coaching staff for whatever reason(s). Which I find crazy because he’s my favourite 16 year old rookie that the Cats have ever put on the ice. Ahead of both Pelletier and Bernier. And for what it’s worth...I think he’s part of the trade to Halifax and we will lose him at the draft.
