Rumors are that Rodrigue will move, WC should be all over that. Might cost Desnoyers but they need a top goalie. This rumour seems to have been started by fans, are any of the Quebec reporters talking about it? Seems like it started because someone saw that Rodrigue is available and Moncton needs a goalie so thought that it would make sense that Rodrigue is going to be traded to Moncton. Seems to have grown from there |

There will be other opportunities to pick up a solid goalie (within league, euro draft) ... if we subtract a top 6 forward to get one, we are solving one problem by creating another (i.e. that is one more piece we will need to go out and add mid-season). For me, Desnoyers and #3 are both off the table for a one year rental. If Lavallee + could get us Rodrigue, different story ... In order to win it all they'll need a top goalie, not just a serviceable one. Depends on how serious they are about winning. What about Edmond from RN? He’s probably cheaper. |

Unlikely, RN is losing their starter, won't trade him away cheap. Dru is rebuilding and wants picks, RN may not go all out rebuild. |

I expect that will be the only move the Cats make today.I wouldn’t be surprised to see them hold onto Huntley until they are sure Aspirot, McKeena and Cyr are back. I doubt Giguere has any value. Seitz might be worth a late round pick but I assume they hold onto him too |

Seitz might be worth a late round pick but I assume they hold onto him too Agree, Huntley, Giguere and Seitz may be guys that get interest in August if certain OA's sign pro. I wonder how agressive they will be to load up for 19-20. the time is right, strong core and there is no powerhouse to contend with. SJ and Bat will be young. Cha should be solid, CB ?? Halifax is losing pieces. I hope they don't get into the Shannon cycle of trying to win a playoff round every year and being thrilled with it. |

I agree with jimmy about not trading Desnoyers or our # 3 pick for a 1 year player, I'm sure that we can find a good goalie in the euro draft/ Free agent to help out Lavalle, I still think Moncton should be targeting a # 2 or # 3 veteran defenceman , we need someone with size and playoff experience that can log top minutes , not a PP quarterback (Spence) unless we lose Aspirot.
This could change near the trade deadline when we see how we match up with the top teams, then I would be willing to maybe part with Desnoyers.
anyone know if the draft will be on rogers tonight ? thanks
