Discuss the import draft here ... starts at noon our time I believe.
I'm assuming we will pick twice since Khovanov has signed an NHL contract. He can still be back but something tells me that he won't be ... I don't think he is having fun here. But he is super talented and could have a big offensive year here as a 19 Yr old. Can Torchetti reign him in ? Is he still the same player if you do reign him in ?
Saint John will in all probability use their early pick, and cut Prikryl loose. He had 14 g and 31 pts as a 17 YO on a young team ... I would think using our 2nd pick on him might be worthwhile if he was still available. He looked good every time I saw him last year ... good size. You know what you get with him and he is already acclimatized to the league.

They’ve added the teams that are passing on their picks to the list now. As expected, Moncton will be making both their picks.

Originally we were picking at 30th overall and 90th overall.
So far there are 21 passes (by my quick count) on the board before our 2nd rd pick. Victoriaville has passed in Rd 1 so we will pick 29th now, unless more passes pop up.
20 teams have passed between our 1st Rd pick and our 2nd Rd pick so we'll pick 69th (giggle) overall in Rd 2.

If he doesn’t play in the A it will be a huge pickup for us. He’s well regarded in the B’s system. Very risky though because all signs point toward him being in Providence

I’m sure they probably have something worked out with Boston that he’ll report here. Otherwise it makes no sense why they’d take him 30th. If he reports it likely fills one of the open top 4 spots

Doesn't seem to be an offensive guy ... he must have defensive skills then.

Doesn't seem to be an offensive guy ... he must have defensive skills then. The Bruins had him rated as a first-rounder so they must have seen potential. Apparently, he has lots of offensive ability just not the stats you see.

With Moncton making two picks today, I wonder what their plan is for Khovanov? Is the second pick just insurance for him not coming back, Minnesota signed him already so I can’t see him going back to Europe at this point.
