The final price will end up being Hebert and 3 2nd round picks. Moncton will acquire two additional 2nd round picks at the draft in exchange for futures. Those two 2nd rounders will be traded to Baie-Comeau. Some of those 3rd and 4th round picks will be sent back to Moncton. erm... only other team Moncton has traded 2nd round picks to is Halifax. That's intriguing. Maybe Halifax is getting Pelletier, Spence and Pavan at the draft ?

That would be mindblowing. Who else could the Cats trade them ? No idea, maybe a guy like Sean Stewart would interest them. I don’t know if Craig Eagles has any inside info (he’s been pretty accurate with the guys he’s guessed though), but he mentioned some teams were interested in Stewart as a future. Obviously, the cats would only be getting back the forth rounders they sent if that’s the case. Maybe a guy like Hudson gets sent over as a 20. Based on what Fortier is worth, Pelletier, Spence, L’heureux and Desnoyers are the only realistic options. The Fortier deal is very one sided based on what it currently is. Since Pelletier and Spence are going to Halifax, and Moncton would not sense L’heureux(plus Hebert) for Fortier, it HAS to be Desnoyers so the tarde makes sense. The two 4th rounders(2021) likely come back in June.

We should be really excited about Fortier. He brings the ideal game for what we need. High Skill and Energy and really good without the puck.
I'm a big fan of both Groulx and Fortier more because of what they can do away from the puck than anything. Ideal for playoffs. Groulx cleaned up in the face-off dot the other night.
Leonard will fill a role. Sure I don't like giving up Rumsey but he's not suited as a 4th liner so we are better off getting a guy with some sandpaper that can play a couple shifts a period and has experience doing it. The 4th line won't be counted on to score goals.

I'm not as concerned because these guys we are bringing in are multi-dimensional and are here to compliment not carry the team. Even if they aren't scoring they help in other ways. Our existing scoring lines have proven to have chemistry and are still here.

The Fortier trade is also impressive when compared to what Chicoutimi paid for Bibeau.

The Fortier trade is also impressive when compared to what Chicoutimi paid for Bibeau. That trade wasn’t that much for Chicoutimi. It ended up working out to something like: Bibeau, Pagliarulo and a second for Rochette.
