The Fortier trade is also impressive when compared to what Chicoutimi paid for Bibeau. We won’t know the price for Fortier until June. It will be Desnoyers

Trades are up now! That’s a lot of picks for Fortier, there will definitely be a player going in June! theqmjhl.ca/transactions/ Yeah a lot of crappy picks.

Almost tempted to drive down to Halifax for the Friday game. If you wait until 10-12 minutes into the game there should be a few seats opening up in the lower bowl.

Almost tempted to drive down to Halifax for the Friday game. Ya it sucks that we will have had essentially 1 game in a month at home considering between Dec 14 and Jan 11 they only played 1 game ( Dec 28) while having played 4 away games in same span.

I understand that the trades were done a couple days ago, but I didn’t think that they’d get the guys here until after they were official. But it’s good to get them here quick.

Placeholder picks, I know with that many posts you aren’t that naive to think we only gave what is being shown for Fortier! What’s the use of even posting they are crappy picks....

Yeah a lot of crappy picks. 2nds, 3rds and 4ths aren't crappy picks, a bunch of 9ths, 10ths and 11ths are crappy picks lol They are crappy if that was all that BC was getting for Fortier. No way BC makes that deal without a 1st rounder OR a very good player at the draft.

These deals just don't make sense to me. Not like I am a great hockey mind but Moncton avoids trading those valuable 1st round picks to Halifax or will get them back at the draft but then they turn around and trade them to BC? They also manage to hang on to L'Heureux through all of this. So BC and Cam are on the same page with how that want to rebuild? Both taking players instead of picks? I think some of you guys are smoking some of that legal cannabis.

I'd rather have double the value in gold (futures) in 5 months time than have half that in cash (picks) right now. Not sure what goes back at the draft but an 18 year old desnoyers that will likely be a top 20 year old is probably worth close to 2 1sts. combine that with whatever picks don't get sent back and BC got a good deal. I think what Cam is doingt is really smart. Getting extra value by dealing with futures while already getting a ton of 2020 picks elsewhere. Then he can possible get fans/STH a half season of Spence Pelletier as Halifax doesn't have there own 1st. Then Pelletier (will be the top forward imo) and Spence can be flipped mid season for the same value as Groulx and McIsaac. The frustrating part I guess for Halifax fans is delaying the rebuild a bit but it may be neccessary to spread out high end picks. It may be a waste to have so many high end picks this year and create a log jam of 04 born players. Look at the positive that the picks can be spread out more across 2-3 seasons.

Would you be surprised if Pelletier and/or Spence never play a game for Halifax ? As getting flipped to SJ or another team immediately at the draft ?
