USHL did very well vs the Remparts and the Océanic.
They beat Que. 3-2 and lost 6-5 in a shootout.
Competitiveness of that league might be better than some people think.
Jake Skjodt scored 4 goals vs Rim.

If we read the French Q boards, fans say that these teams were filled with 19 and 20 YOs and that they were missing themselves big parts of their lineups(6 for Rimouski).
At the start of the season like that I don't see how we can make a judgment on these 2 Leagues because it is still training camp for everybody....bad timing for such a faceoff to be really any significant.

I'm sure if Que and Rim won by 5 goals you'd be posting about how superior the Q league is.

I agree I checked a few things on hockey DB and a few guys weren't found but very few players were under 18 especially the Indiana Ice team they were loaded with 19 and 20 year old guys. Ohama had more of the 18 and 19 year old variety.

Indiana had alot of 19 year old players more so then the Oceanic. They weren't exactly playing the best Q teams either

This is good for the Q, as far as recruiting prospects from USA. 1) it give the Q some publicity, which is pretty lacking in the states, 2) it shows that the level of hockey is truly high 3) US kids from the northeast know that it is hard, as a youngster, to make a USHL team. They do not scout in New England that much, and a lot of players go out there and do not stick. If they see 16 year olds on Q teams playing 19 year olds on USHL teams, and doing as well or better, that is a real plus!

I honestly don't know... anyone have any background info?

Indiana lost in the play-off semi finals last year. Omaha got dumped in the first round of the play-offs.

Here's link to the USHL teams' protected lists. It doesn't look like teams carry many players 17 or younger. LINK

His post actually made a lot of sense.........it's too early to judge, and the other guys had a much older team, as you have showed......mikeb's reply to him sounds along the lines of Billy trying to get some shit going and there was really no other reason than that......I've yet to see mike actually make a reply to him that wasn't trying to pick on him and it's getting kinda old.
