I hope is weight listing is ancient history. 6'1" 175lbs is not small for a 16 year old. Just turned 16.

I can see DeJong having more value to us than in a trade. I think he will be a very good OA d-man - potentially one of the better ones in the league ... but I can see if other teams are not quite sold on that value. He really broke through last year, but playing behind Spence, Andersson, and MacIsaac, not sure if the rest of the league would fully value it. I was told that Dejong's trade value is "quite a bit higher than you think" so in that case I would move him right away. By the same token you open up another spot for guys like Dow Wilson Pavan Pilotte plus maybe Nutbrown. Plus Hudson up front as an OA instead of losing him for nothing. I’m with Jimmy on this unless there’s a serious overpayment for DeJong. I’m a big fan of Tristan, and the progression in his game. You need some veterans to show the way to the youngsters and I think DeJong and Hudson should be option #1 and #2 as the 20’s. Lund Cornish is very much on the bubble for me

Not this season. He compares himself to Ryan Suter.

OA depth... 1-DeJong 2-Leonard 3-Cornish 4-Hudson 5-MacLellan

He would be #4 for me behind DeJong, Hudson and Cornish ...

I find Leonard brings more energy. If you play him top 6 he will make an impact and chip in 35-40pts.

Pick 41 - Jake Rozzi
A pure goal scorer. A "game changer" as chsb would say. His skating could use some work, but he's fast once he gets going.

I think he’s a really good player. Great value in the 3rd round, not sure if he’s committed to the Q route but if he is, I think you got a dandy.

Stanstead does have a way of getting guys to stick around though so who really knows what Hopkins plans are. I like to think that if the Wildcats with so few picks are taking them at 23 and 41 though that they have some sort of commitment?
