So doesn't look like we'll be making any trades today. So that leaves us with Spence,Dejong and Hudson as trade assets going forward.

My hope is that with him getting 1st line minutes that he can play himself into a decent trade bait candidate by mid-season.

With Pelletier gone, even if you played him top line he might get you 20pts in 35 games. If you're lucky you might get a 3rd.

I do agree though that I’m not sure he has as much value to other teams as he does to the Wildcats.

Great first half of the draft for the team. Backhalf seems like a crapshoot as it always is. Haven’t heard anything about the kid from the US or the kid playing in Germany

I like his quick feet, good rebound control. Reminds me a bit of Riopel. Average size but plays on the edge of the crease.

Here's a quick video I had saved on Loshing, just to give you an idea of this kid's hands.

Our D seems to be in OK shape to absorb a Spence or Dejong trade. Looks much better than the group of forwards. So I would think both import selections will be forwards.
They've already said Hopkins will be on the team and I'm sure it's a condition to him reporting
Spence - DeJong Hopkins - S Stewart Dow - Pavan/Isaac Wilson
Pilote/Berube/Desrosiers/Walker all possibilities.

Would Walker report? He did not at 16 ot 17. Nutbrown had a good year in MAAA, he could also be a possibility, only 17. Darcy also, they drafted him relatively early and he is 17. In an ideal world, you move either Dejong or Spence and open up a spot for a FA or Euro D.
